Love the economy and trading in this game, nothing has felt the same since. When I played live in '99-00 everyone thought I was a twink because my gear was far above my level though I just started trading small at gfay wizard spires (sol ro server equivalent of EC tunnel) . Bought up any good deal I could find and sold at market value...had jboots at level 20 =]

If you go to the project1999 website there is a link in the top left in red that says "Getting Started" that takes you to a 5 step process of setting up P99, the 5th step is an optional step to change the UI to the old Velious UI (which is what I am using) and it provides a link to download it and instructions on how to install it as well as showing you how to enable the classic loading and battle music.

LOL used to have to go to the bank to put your money cause it added weight to you we had so much plat that if you took it all out you couldn't move hahahahahah sometimes you had to get a str buff to move!

Ahhh the good times in EC. I spent so much damn time in that tunnel watching the auctions like a hawk. Once you start to make money the easier it is to make even more (duh), but it got to the point where I was making huge trades where marking up a few k here and there was easy to do. Ill never forget this bastard who after ALOT of talking managed to convince me to trade him something and he would log into another char and give me the platinum (Shared banks were not a thing back then). I must have told him no like 20 times and finally said ALRIGHT FUCK IT and of course i trade him he says "Be right back" and hes gone forever. Saw him online like 2 days later and he ninja logged after i sent him a message. Having said that, most my experiences were positive ones and generally speaking people were trustworthy and honest to their word. (Bristlebane Server - 65 Troll Warrior Rumek Bashem, Eventually Level 100 Wood Elf Ranger Teaien Swiftwind, after a very long break)

Okay, let me clear this up. What you just linked up there^ I do not beleive that is actually a real website. To play everquest classic, you need to join a private server. And you do need to own Everquest Titanium edition. But, thats only gonna cost like 10$ or so an amazon or ebay. And its very worth it. You need to connect to the server, I use project 1999 since I dont know of any other EQ classic ps that are as popular and have as high of a population. Right now theres over 1000 people on the server I play on. You can go to www.project1999.com/ to figure out how to connect. Hopefully that clears everything up, and hopefully you come down on project 1999 and play some EQ classic with us.
