Spot on, each wrx post 98 requires a reflash / piggyback to deal with the adjustment to airflow. The most common first mods are: Rear adj sway, turbo back, air filter / pod and a reflash.

@jaygoodwin62878 жыл бұрын
+Jordan Yap A person who makes unnecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to): - Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder - Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747 - Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool - Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself - Body-kit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire - Clear tail lights and corner signals - A "performance intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine) - Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case. The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.

@911Dreda11 A multitude of muffers exist but the whole point of a muffler is to "muffle" the exhaust, usually send the gas through a baffle system which quiets the car down, or usually does, some poor quality mufflers will just make things very loud, but thats ok if you have a track car, not so good if you are looking at a defect with the cops. Which is why the varex is perfect, i'm ordering the twin tips, they look stock and it will sound great under WOT and like a stock car with the valve .

mutilator97 yah no kidding i bet he also removed his air filter for the added 5 hp
@mutilator978 жыл бұрын
The thing is, removing your exhaust anywhere before the cat(in a vehicle with it) will make your car so slow due to lack of back-pressure, that it can't even go faster than 5 mph or climb any kind of incline. As for removing your air filter, I'm pretty sure that will actually lose horses more than anything(immediate effect), and your car will gunk up in the long run due to all the crap allowed in after having unfiltered it.

@PhatArtz Double clutch, yes. But they are typically less fun. The paddle shifters on most rally cars are simply a sequential manual and almost no touring car class uses an auto/dsg. It's only the higher budget forms of motorsport where they have the money to develop dual clutch gearboxes. Whether a double clutch is better on the road is up to the driver. If you're good with a manual, you'll probably miss it. If you're hopeless with a manual, you won't have the satisfaction to miss. :)

Maybe things are different in Australia are different, but here, in the US there are 3 problems with this. 1) because it is a fart can muffler with an exhaust bypass, when a cop pulls you over for it being too loud, he can clearly see that you have an exhaust bypass, because the bypass is all the way at the end of the exhaust, which will show up in his report on the ticket, making it so you can't beat the ticket. 2) It is a fart can muffler and it sounds like a fart can. 3) Only douches drive WRX's.

Can you put the exhaust be set to half or partially open mood, you know so that its not too loud not too quite ?
@wadesta198614 жыл бұрын
But it has a bypass built in to prevent damage. With the butterfly valve closed, the gasses just vent through a standard muffler baffle

@2buck4dH8rz it can vary but it may be either just a muffler or an entire tubing set from the exhaust of your engine

Can this be equipped to a 76mm skunk2 exhaust for 07 Honda Civic si?

GM Already has this Available from Factor in the Corvette, but works off the TP Sensor and tells the Exhaust plates how much to open and close to let more air flow and to keep back pressure at lower RPM's.

TRX450R Vlogger It used to be connected to a fuse on the exterior fuse box which you can remove and be loud at all times, though they have removed this from the C7 Corvettes.

I know that.

And Porsche did it before GM what's your point. They didn't create it.
@TRX450RVlogger8 жыл бұрын
I never said they created it, I'm saying they used this Technology years ago already. Plus, Porsche is over priced junk.
