I’m trying to use the varia dosing cups (either 54 or 58) from my VS3 grinder on my normcore scale but ran into an issue. The magnet on the bottom of the varia dosing cups throws off the accuracy of the scale making it unusable as a dosing cup. I get different weights of the cup depending on where the cup is placed on the scale. Can you confirm that using the varia dosing cups with the magnet on the bottom does not interfere with the accuracy of the AKU scale? Can you verify that regardless of where the magnetic dosing cup is placed on the scale it still gives accurate and consistent results? Thanks

Hi fly, I've used the VS3 dosing cup with AKU scales and never had an issue with magnetic cup base interfering with weight accuracy. Just to be certain I tried the magnetic cup in multiple positions on the AKU this morning and no issues. Also tried Varia's dosing cups with magnetic base and no problem - a lot of that in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZqYp5eZj6qSptU Marc

Hi VM, The Eureka Notte is a no frills 50mm flat burr grinder. Potential upgrades are larger burrs, timing functions and maybe a switch to single dosing. Suggestions depend on your brew method(s), what upgrades are important to you. For espresso using larger burrs, with faster grinding and fluffy distro into PF the Ceado E5P has 64mm burrs.
