Ho boy, lots to say about this one :D I liked it, it feels coherent, though I have a feeling that there's a lot more thought behind some of these cuts than I can get from watching just once or without a specific kind of background knowledge; e.g. the titling of the different "segments"? I supposed they're kind of tied to the melody shift, but then the current timeline also overlaps with the others and... hum, you did say there's a reference in there so maybe that's what I'm missing out on xD The first two clips feel odd being silent next to the "Cry" one that suddenly has sound, made me literally go back and double-check in a "wait did I miss sth?" moment and kind of pulled me out of the vid, especially since it's so early on. A couple of the... clip transitions felt odd, simply from the individual framing not the content they displayed e.g. from shot to shot, a character standing in nearly the same spot and then awkwardly "jumping" from frame to frame, e.g. 01:16, 2:58 or 00:40 (especially with that sudden zoom-motion going on and being cut off). But this is a relatively long video for this fanbase with a high amount of editing and it still feels coherent so I'll give it that credit :) This is the kind of video I honestly wish there'd be more around. I do love the little moments where the sound overlaps, the small details like at 00:32 or 02:51. The Audiowork in general is one of the strengths of this video as it neatly blends with the raw instrumental of the score you chose (and the show just having such nice, pure samples without too much background stuff going on :DDD )

Wow haha i'm so sorry for the late response but thank you so much for your constructive criticism!!! The first three segments of the VHS were meant to be a reference to a game known as 1bitheart. It was a really touching scene that I just couldn't get those simple three words (or technically 5) out of my head. As for the rest of the video I wanted to showcase his best moments and then I wanted to focus on the "current timeline" to show how he got to where he was. The lost fragments were meant to showcase that this was who he used to be, (so to speak) before everything began heading downwards. Haha and can you believe that the original video is actually 6 minutes long? I cropped it down because i didn't want an AMV to be that long XD And I will admit that some of the transitions were out of place. It definitely looks odd especially if there's an effect in place. I really appreciate that you gave examples to help me fix that. As for a couple of other clips, there's a couple that still look odd like 3:05 where his mouth is moving like 100mph per second XD. I think this is where I learned that stretching a particular section of the video would help (but it end up looking funny) Anyways thank you again for helping me improve. This was really helpful!
