I can’t tell you too many details but I was having a massive GI bleed. They banded me, they broke loose and banded me again and did TIPPS. I did receive 10 bags of blood and 2 bags of platelets. 6 days in a he ICU (fine by me) and two days on a regular floor (needing to build my strength up before going home. I didn’t know my liver was sick. No history of alcoholism or Hep C. The use of ARVs messed up my liver.
