That is really good to hear. The movie deserves more recognition. I don't know about you, but i'm from Australia, i remember it coming out in the cinemas when i was little and going to see it. And now it got re-released here. You should really buy it its such a good movie. :)) And I think Bambi got re-released on BluRay along with The Lion King as well. :))

@ALnXfactor I couldn't agree more! This film is not only underrated in the Disney legacy. It's an enormous gem compared to all of the atrocious films & shows Disney puts out now! (Excluding Pixar) What has made this film a favorite on my film list is that it does what great filmmaking is all about. It's a genuine, heartfelt, and quality story. When you become so wrapped up in a film where you forget the characters are real. And you even cry that's when it becomes special & unique. This film is!

It was released 10 years after the Lion King so I guess it was never pictured as a classic. If it had been released in the nineties then it definitely would have got as much recognition.
