Generally now a days QFE is less used as mostly all the aircrafts use radar altimeters which provides height. But absolutely , all these three are having equal significance in aviation.

Sir Who provides transition altitude or it is fixed

mr mohit It's calculated and provided by the ATC and is not a fixed value

Sir if u get some time so, pls make a short video in how to calculate transition altitude or transition level for any aerodrome with example☺️☺️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@sachinkumar0643 жыл бұрын
It is not necessary that transition altitude and transition level will coincide. Transition level can also be higher than transition altitude, and the airspace between TA and TL is called transition layer.
@captainclasses97613 жыл бұрын
It is not necessary but it is not compulsary that u will hav Transition layer in all conditions.. I hav explained in such a way so u can relate things easily 🙏
@sachinkumar0643 жыл бұрын
@@captainclasses9761 Right Sir. But, an absolute beginner might think that both coincide, and will not be aware of other scenarios and transition layer. Anyways, you have done a brilliant job to make this detailed video and share knowledge free of cost. Brilliant. 🙌

Bohot bohot dhanyawaad, sir mera ek sawal hain. Sir, jab a/c ko ditching ke liye prepare kiya jata hain toh kya altimeter settings mein QNH 1013.25 hpa set kiya jata hain?
@captainclasses97614 жыл бұрын
I don't think so.... Because ditching has no relation with altimeter settings... Even on ground we can put ditching "on" and that doesn't require to do any changes in altimeter settings

Sir I have a question that why the height of obstacle is given in reference to mean sea level
@captainclasses97613 жыл бұрын
You hav to select a point from which height can be referenced... If you take reference from airport (QFE) then I already explained that QFE is not stable because lots of heat is generated from earth surface effects the density and hence it is not usefull.. we can't take QNE as it changes as the sea level rises or goes down... so we left with QNH which is mean sea level point which doesn't change but we can calculate the pressure to be at MSL with calculations

I have doubt about imc and vmc where we use and what a condition for both to use??
@captainclasses97613 жыл бұрын
basically imc and vmc are the conditions in terms of visiblity and cloud ceiling etc... if that is in more than acceptable limit, then it is called as vmc else it will be called as imc.... if vmc conditions are there then u can do ifr flight or vfr flight but if imc conditions are there then u can only do ifr flight and vfr are not permitted as visibility is less than the limits required
