Sargent Saunders must have been out for R & R, ‘cause he always leads the men out on missions of one sort or another, while Lieutenant Hanley is always running back to Battalion HQ for one thing or another. Things just aren’t the same when Saunders’ not around.

Ok,ok, let's do reality these guys working on the show worked 6 days a week filming. They rotated this week Saunders off next week maybe Kirby or caje. In real life. In the filming world they were recovering from wounds in previous episodes.

Crazy way to check if the town is clear: Everyone run off by themselves. And Rick Jason using all of Vic's lines (Maybe Vic was sick that day)...Sal Mineo ("Minnie-O" haha) was a great actor. He's in another episode where he's a total coward.

Would be nice if Saunders and Hanley would've been in more episodes together working as a team.......

Yes, theoretically a good idea - I mean that had been like Captain Kirk&Spock :) But as far as I have read myself into the background information to this " BOMB of SHOW " - the running time of COMBAT ! was remarkable for the early Sixties - Morrow and Jason did not along so well due to Vic Morrow´s carrier orientated behaviour off camera. He even had pushed Jason aside in the credits. Those were the decades of the single TOP ACTORS - that team ensemble-feeling as in MASH came in later decades.

Hmmm.... searching a town in darkness with no lights??!! How the hell can you see anything in pitch black? And spreading out the men??? Oh, well, its Hollywood...... Still love the show!!

Viney not a saint. But burns is a evil Demond. Bad guy. Has a image attitude problem. Viney is the good guy in this series. Watch all 3 episodes. Brett L.
