I believe that some Newbury Park athletes went pro and chose not to come to the state meet like Nico Young who went to the Bowerman Mile instead of the state meet.

Lol take it easy it was 25+mph wind so it was a sit and kick so it was very conservative

Those guys were cutting their season short. Some also running professional races.
