Remarkable. What a race of people!! It is similar to a Spanish galleon but ship building did pass from one to another.

I went there when I was 11, back in 2001. it’s massive, you must go if you visit Stockholm. Brilliant day out. Wonder if kinderlund theme park is still there, it was just down the road from the vasa.

TravelTouristVideos no thank you for bringing back good memories, great video. Thank you for commenting back. Did you go to Helsinki? Me and my dad went on the Viking line ferry it was ace. Also there was a big tower thing in Stockholm did you go up that? New subscriber to you now mate, enjoy your travels bud 👍

Thanks- really appreciate the support! 🙏 We did go to Helsinki as well as part of same Baltic cruise- top places we visited were the Market Square, Senate Square, Rock Church & the Seurasaari Island Open Air Museum. Where do you guys go in Helsinki? Our city tour didn't include that tower in Stockholm, and the Vasa Museum was the highlight of the tour. Though I'd consider the amazing scenery we saw as our cruise ship sailed into & out of Stockholm were a highlight as well.

TravelTouristVideos what a brilliant trip you had and I can’t remember now, but saw most of it as my dad was working there, I went over for 6 weeks and got two planes back on my own the day before 9-11. But what beautiful countries, glad you have wrote back because nobody I know has been to them. There was a indoor zoo thing near the vasa aswell and we had a dinner on a floating restaurant. Thonon les bains is the best place I have been to, it’s right on lake Geneva. If you haven’t been I recommend it, another 6 weeks there.we drove to Amsterdam from there and got the ferry back to the uk. quality trip. Love to go back. Keep up your videos I’m happy you explore nice places. I won’t go on a plane now, terrified of them.

You're very welcome! If I remember right, there was a bit of the old wood smell. It's certainly amazing how they kept it in such great shape. Keeping it away from sunlight definitely helps.

Id love to see the inside. I wonder if all the items inside are still there?
@celineteloh23053 жыл бұрын
The ship sunk many years ago and then they had to restore the whole ship. In the Museum they had some pictures from the time they where cleaning the ship and restoring the ship. In the pictures where no Items. But it’s possible that there where some items inside when they found the ship
@silverpslm3 жыл бұрын
@@celineteloh2305 Interesting. If they could, they should restore or display those things should they be of any importance for the musuem.

Is that the bow or the stern of the ship? The bow is the end of the ship with the pointy thing genius
@TravelTouristVideos5 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was the bow (front of the ship)- they certainly tried to make it fancy. Unfortunately it was overly burdened with decor it sank right away.

The average modern house is built so cheaply with the cheapest and fasted production methods. Plastic siding, bits of wood that's glued and pressed together. 2x4's that aren't even 2x4. They're 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" Old cabins and farm houses stand the test of time for years and years but these new houses suck. Yet people like to brag and boast how technologically advanced we are and we can't even figure out something as simple as how ancient people's from all over the world moved stones that weighed many tons hahaha. All this tech has just made people lazy and dumbed down.
