Highly recommend using the wrathbringer melee weapon with this build. Since you’re constantly gonna be taking dmg you’ll constantly have the 50% melee dmg so you can swing some fat chunky melee hits in the midst of your firestorm so you don’t have to worry about actually aiming at the enemy while you’re both getting vortexed LOL

Sidenote: In my testing, I found that about 6 levels into kinship is really the LOWEST you can COMFORTABLY go without risking death in the masochist build. But I also was using tempest conduit which affected the dmg. So there might be a little wiggle room

This just carried my husband and I through apocalypse final boss. Only time we were killable was when we let our relic expire on accident. 100% recommend it. One modification I made was to stay in Leto 1 and not bother with dodge rolling at all, just keep tanking.

Gotta say I love this build. My absolute favorite way to play games like this is to tank every hit a boss can throw at me. I havent been lucky enough to get Burden of the Divine, but managed with Lithic Signet. Your melee build is my absolute favorite way to play though. You're awesome @VashCowaii. Keep up the awesome work bud. If you catch this comment and take requests, would love to see you do a build around, or the math for, the Archons Havoc skill. Seen some good havoc builds and killed Venom with an Archoneer build on nightmare (Im about to start my first Apocalypse run) but I bet you could do 200% better then the guy I watched.

15 hours after my last comment Ive completed my first apocalypse run and its all thanks to the gigachad build lmao. I got super unlucky with Sha'Hala though. He had the vicious moderator. Couldn't tank a black hole. But daaaamn is it satisfying to tank Venoms spear throw! And the orb phase in Annihilations 2nd boss phase. Sooo satisfying

So I was playing the new DLC last night on Nightmare with two other friends. The sunken witch boss had Trapper and Skullcracker. After a couple tries, and teammates killing each other via the dodge (trapper), I busted out this build. One try later, and the Sunken Witch was turned to ash. Left me with a warm feeling inside (and extra crispy outside). Game also crashes after grabbing the chest…10 out 10 build - would burn myself again.

Gigachad got me through Annihilation on apocalypse. I put on the Feastmaster’s signet ring on which allowed me 4 concoctions at once. So I added in Bark Extract. I was invincible

Honestly this sounds like a nice way to have a healer for runs as well. If you aren't wanting or needing the hilarious coop build (or are just running with a PUG), this can provide healing to the team while also letting everyone else save the ring slots and do damage.

You can add the faerie familiar mod attachment that also act as another summons for the Resonating heart heals. Pair the Necklace of flowing life with Ring of Omens and everytime you misty step and heal from Resonating Heart, you gain modpower back till you can summon the fairies again.

With Whispering Marble and Dried clay ring, it is still worth it to get that last stack of bulwark. Between the 2, that last stack will give you 3% dmg reduction but also about 5% bonus to all damage. Of course that last stack should come with some other benefit as well like the engineer ring that buffs heavy carry on top of granting bulwark. Edit: after looking through all the rings, mechanical cog might be only option when it might be worth it since all other rings don't offer just 1 bulwark + something useful but just more bulwark. Maybe if they add more rings with 1 stack + benefit based on said stacks.

Awesome build! I use the Brewmasters cork build. I was still using crystal heart. , but I will now be using Resonating heart. Thanks! I put a little spin on the build though. I almost exclusively melee and use shielded strike on it to get 40% of my max hp as shield. I also use generating band in one of the slots for 50% max hp as shield. The drawback for that is also having to use the drake pearl ring to spam the charge attack on worlds edge. With the shield effectiveness relic fragment its about max 210 shield with 200 hp. The EHP should be bonkers right?

So I been testing some of the new items and the atonement fold has some interesting synergies. It will give you permanent 5 bulwark from self inflicted bleed. It will auto proc anything that requires bleed or status on yourself. So the Nightweavers grudge will be up 100% time with this, although I like to use the new brewmaster potion for the tankiness. The new 2h Hammer that comes from the One True King fight is a decent option I think for new players with this ring as well since it will give permanent 50% more melee damage with the self inflicted bleed as well. Probably more synergies as we test more items.

Atonement has cool uses but I think the bleed status effect is too harsh to consider it a good item on tank builds

@@VashCowaiiI agree, its okay for mobbing, but Its a bit harsh for tanking bosses. I been testing out some new builds, but ritualist is bugged right now. You can test it, but if you apply a damage over time effect with no bonuses to DOT it does like say 250 a tick for the setup I had, then I just switched to Ritualist, same gear and it ticked for 27 a tick... It also appears to do this with some jewelry.

I've been running a mod wizard build with archon/egineer and lots of mod power gen/ stone of malevolence in leto mk1 armor, which ends up not as tanky. I'm swapping back and forth between my weapons constantly firing off the mods back to back, getting 4-5 firestorms up at a time and on annihilation it make the fight a breeze since the major points of death for me were the orbs rather than the bosses attacks. Firestorm and song pop the orbs almost instantly negating the threat altogether.

Before the DLC what I did to get my hearts back playing solo was to shoot my own summons to get my hearts back. I did use Reaver even tho he wasnt as good just cause I liked him. I ran the summon health trait so I could dump a full clip into them and not care that I would kill them since my damage wasnt high enough. I should point out that the final boss took me half a hour to kill (no Empathy) so its slow as hell XD.

Spent a couple hours tracking down everything for the firestorm build minus rugged, and in about 3 hours i made it to Venom on apocalypse. It definitely works as long as you're preemptive with your heals, but im not sure how the final boss is going to go.

What about replacing the summoner with engineer? You’ll lose a bit of relic recharge, but you’ll gain a much better minion, and 15% extra DR to free up the amulet for something else. Additionally since you’re spamming relics, you’ll constantly regenerate 15% of the turret ammo each time. If you use hyperconductor, you’ll double the ammo and amount recovered. Maybe also replace silicone ring with a’taerri’s ring for extra damage and crit.

I just tried the giga chad build against a spiteful sha hala. That black hole was delicious. It was so f*cking funny to just stand there and watch my health bar spaz out. You do need to use song of eifier and both minions or you won't be able to outpace the damage. The shield wasn't necessary.

The game actually has a bug that stills counts the engineer turrets as summons while you are holding it, even has its health pool kinda active so this build can be still being used while point blank shooting a boss But tbh the engineer deserves a specific build for itself since it worths to have it as primary archetype the build itself should go around refreshing and tankiness rather than healing and tanky af bonecheeks

Fextralife did release a Medic Summoner (regenerator prime perk) build pretty similar to what you were showing off three months ago. Although, he does suggest labyrinth gloves... Anyway, playing it lead me to watching your videos to understand what was going on. Also, what about Phemeto? They seem to have their shit together with their builds, and the updated all of them recently.

Yeah they tried, they did me the absolute solid of completely misunderstanding how to build a character after the DLC and didn't even try to look at how it should all fit together. Content for content's sake, and no actual logic behind it. I obv feel strongly on that matter lmfao. As for Phemeto from what I have seen they do a good job on anything that isn't tank related, but I haven't delved too hard into the dps realm of things so that really doesn't mean much coming from me. This is generally what I'll have to say about most builds youtubers, bc I wouldn't have made tank vids otherwise.

I might be late to the party but, couldnt crystal heart be swapped with the void heart ? Dr goes down in reliability since its only 50% Dr for 4 secs; but its 100% max health over 0,75 secs, and doesnt slow. maybe its better for a solo build ?
