I haven't shared the link yet, but I'll edit in here when I do as I'll make an entirely new video to cover the new sheet. - BENEFITS: The sheet has a lot to it but the huge benefit achieved with that is that nobody needs to know what they're doing anymore; I've backloaded ALL in-game information into a database on the sheet, so people only have to tell the sheet the items they are using, not the values they get from them, and then I already have all the values to calculate. This allows us to calculate and factor in even more things than we did before. Good for both people who know what they're doing, and for people who don't. - DRAWBACKS: From a technical standpoint, there aren't any. The only drawback to using the new sheet once I publish it, is simply getting used to and learning how the new sheet works.

thank you so much!!! hey ever try using the amulet "whispering marble" (grants 3 stacks of bulwark increaes damage 3% per stack of bulwark) then dried clay ring (grants 1 stack of bulwark, increases all damage by 60% of total DR granted by bulwark stacks) I've been able to reach 5 stacks of Bulwark but why cant it go any higher?!? but right now my damage increase is stable at 30% and my DR is stable at 35% and i still have room for 2 more rings!!!! any thoughts on how to improve this build anymore? i was thinking about adding probability chord and something else that improves my damage crit something to heal myself

Once again, another video that's actually 10 minutes of useful information. Also keep in mind that both builds compared were aiming for similar but different goals in mind. I have watched both videos and Vash's build was built for sheer tankiness while the latter was made more for co op. That's why it has more health because it increases healing. Thanks for the spreadsheet, it allows us to be more creative with our builds instead of just copying whatever's best.

This is exactly the methodology I used to push my effective HP to 1,924 with my own tank build that I based on yours (I credited you of course). 184 HP + 80% DR + Blood Bond + Song + 60% of my HP worth of shields since Rerouting Cable gives 50% and the fragment gives 20% more shields than normal. Glad to see I'm on the same page as you, since I feel like you're one of the only remnant 2 creators who know what you're doing.

Gonna copy paste what I told another here~ It varies per boss, as some bosses do more dmg but hit less often, or some hit more often but do less dmg, meaning some bosses require more EHP and less healing while others require more healing and less EHP. This becomes even more variable when you have different difficulties like we do. General approach though is stack your EHP as high as you can, then fight the boss(assuming you're not on hardcore). Then, if you do die to one shots, you don't have enough EHP anyways and you need to figure out the boss. BUT, if you don't get one shot, but just get outdamaged, then you need more healing and you should drop some EHP for enough healing until you find a balance that lets you beat it.

I saw this spreadsheet in your previous vid, but because I'm not used to just ask for stuff, I built my own similar. However, I assumed, that all sources of DR are multiplicative, and made my further assumptions on that. The fact that sources of flat DR are additive actually changes a lot. What's sad is that I want to spend my trait points on QOL stuff like Fitness, Footwork, Fluidity, Handling and Ammo Reserves (and they are never enough), and I started considering throwing Barkskin away, making with defence rings for it. But flat DR is additive, there's no world where one throws Barkskin away except doing no-hit runs.

After finding out the fact Flat DR is additive, I've managed to come out with a formula `1-(1-0.8)/(1-ArmorDR)`, which gives you how much flat DR do you need to cap. Subtract 10% from Barkskin and it clearly states the requirement to gear ). With Leto+Lab+Fortify+ArmorConcoction it's *29%* and Barkskin trait.

Gonna clarify bc your wording makes it seem like you're misunderstanding and I want to be sure. I'll repeat what I say in the video: Flat DR sources are additive with THEMSELVES, but NOT armor DR. Total Flat DR IS multiplicative with armor DR to get your total end DR value. So like in the video, if armor DR is 62.26 and flat DR is 25%, this DOES NOT mean that total DR = 62+25, that is wrong. All I am saying by saying flat DR is additive with itself, is if you have 5% flat DR from a relic frag, and 10% flat dr from barkskin, then your total flat DR is 15% bc they add to eachother just like the armor from your pants adds to the armor from your chest. If you understand that and I'm just worrying over nothing, then ignore this. If you DID misunderstand this, I'd give the video another watch as my wording is deliberately specific on this matter.

This clears up a ton of confusion, and has seriously helped me hone my apocalypse build. I've watched this video and your other most recent videos, and I have a question: could you possibly mix this with the medic/summoner build in co-op? Drop Dying Ember and slap on Burden of the Divine, and use the bug (feature? cuz they haven't patched it as of yesterday's new patch) where you slap on lv10 alchemist and the Feastmaster's Signet, use 5 concoctions, then liquid death and when drop the ring/class they all 5 stay for the full 2 hours. There are two that give extra health, 1 that gives 30 armor, one that gives -10 encumbrance, and the one that gives 0.75hps. Add that to Tranquil Heart and the healing effectiveness buffs just from having level 10 medic/summoner and mystic shard on your relic you're passively healing yourself for about 12.5hps because you're constantly in grey health with your allies getting 8.5hps with BotD+Benevolence. That's before your base 4.5% lifesteal, and I saw a consistent ~450 damage on your charge attacks so at -10% dmg that's ~405 damage just from the shockwave on annihilation (should stay roughly the same with Decayed Margin). With +70% healing effectiveness you get another 30hp per ranged slash and there's a 2 second interval between each slash hitting an enemy so that's another 15hps and 7.5hps for your allies, putting the total passive hps at ~27 for you and 16 for allies, and that's just the shockwave. If you pop the relic at any point, the HPS for allies goes up way higher than you'd think because they get your 50% from BotD and another 30-60% at above/below 35% respectfully from the Benevolence trait. Just the passive Regen for you is gonna be 25hps and 56 while attacking (lifesteal counts for the doubled passive regen from Tranquil Heart) but for your ally it will skyrocket because now the Benevolence hps healing applies to the full total and not just the 2hps from Tranquil Heart cuz TH takes all hps sources and doubles them. If my math is right (which it might not be) that puts allies at 31hps for 15sec after a relic pop and 61hps while you're attacking at range with World's Edge. If they manage to go below 35%, that jumps to 65hps. No other effects are factoring into this, so there's even more you can do. The Rerouting Cable gives you an effective 7.6hp boost per attack even if it doesn't land, so that's even more survivability for you. I need to test all this out, but first I need to finish my apocalypse mode run to get world's edge because I already have everything else. I'm going through it on my apoc file with a friend using the medic/summoner build, but I really started enjoying doing melee so this modified build will be how I go through his playthrough.

You can do it manually, if you have 80% total dr for instance you'd do 1 - ((1 - 0.8)*(1-0.06)) = 1 - (.2 * .94) = 1 - 0.188 = 81.2% new DR (1.2% bonus from BB)

Thanks for another great how to vid! I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me. Im not very good at creating builds. I used your Summoner build almost exactly. Except my relic shards were ordinary/solid, i didnt have labyrinth gloves and i only had 7 relic charges. I fought the Shahala Nerude boss and kept getting beaten pretty bad. My summoned flyer's couldnt stay alive either. I dont think it has anything to do with the relic count, but do the shards and gloves make that much difference?

Shards can actually make a pretty big difference, but that said Shahala is just a really rough boss to fight on summoner, as the minions have an EXTREMELY hard time targeting him, there's something weird with that guy in comparison to other bosses.

At a glance it might seem like it? But not really, there's a bit to this. - They tout resonating heart but the heal is just as good as crystal heart's heal as they are both already outrageously high healing values. If you're going to be spamming the relic anyways you may as well use Crystal and get the 25% DR since there's no way in hell resonating is going to keep you and your allies alive any better than crystal would, and resonating doesn't give you any DR so you're either not hitting the cap, or if you do hit the cap where they chose not to, you have to use rings/amulet/other sources to reach it when you need those things for other stuff. - In the end the %healing they are achieving is overkill because increasing the amount of heals per second doesn't actually result in your allies receiving more healing. Bosses can only do so much dmg per second and they're either killing you in one hit, or doing a basically capped amount of DPS, so there is a breakpoint at which healing any more than you are just becomes pointless, so no they do not allow for more healing. - They sport a higher HP value as I stated in the video, and again the concept for that is it technically increases the amount of healing done since it is based on your % max health, but this is a pointless concept as if you and your allies don't have capped DR and increased total EHP then it's pointless. Who cares if you heal 50% HP per second when your ally only has 400 EHP and you have 800 and the boss can do 1k dmg a swing? I showed in the video that I had less health than them, less armor than them, but overall you recall I still had more EHP than them even on an unoptimized build. This means that even though I *TECHNICALLY* have a lower %/sec healing value, it doesn't matter bc the more DR and EHP I have, the more valuable my healing becomes at an exponential rate. TLDR: I may not have seemed like it but I was being incredibly nice in the video when addressing that build. The build concept, I understand what they were going for. The build execution however, could not be worse, and I personally found it misleading.

@@VashCowaii Thank you for the explanation. I've never actually looked at the numbers before and generally just used what felt right to me. I'm the one that carries my friends most of the time so I was looking for more of a support type build to help them out more, rather than me running around dodging and being main DPS. Honestly your builds, especially with you explaining the numbers and how they work, seems more flexible. Really appreciate the break down.

I have the handler left to level, and I noticed that the Guard Dog Skill reduces incoming damage by 15%. When I used the skill nothing changed on the advanced stat sheet for DR. Are you able to confirm that this is similar to Blood Bond and Song of Eafir or if it is just bugged?

So I'm aware of that being weird, what I don't know is if it should be populating as flat DR or if it is meant to be an external DR source. If it is an external source, I don't know if it works additively or multi with other external DR like REdmg, I just haven't been able to test it yet. When I get more info though, I'll adjust and add to the sheet. I have a similar question with Game Master's ring and the split dmg it gives like blood bond, as well as how it might work with things like blood bond in regards to add or multi.

There are the videos, that all claim "highest damage in the game", but all of them are a gamble and only work, if you don't get hit, ever. I'd much rather prefer to face tank everything without exploiting and just use game mechanics. Nicely done Vash and thank you for the explanations and videos!

So I plugged my current numbers into the spreadsheet and realized I was 0.22% DR over the cap. I then removed a point of Barkskin and ended up at 79.81% DR. Do you think it's worth it to spend an extra point for that tiny bit of extra eHP? I figure it's probably not but I kind of prefer going all-out just because hitting the cap feels good, for my emotions if not actual gameplay haha.

The build I'm talking about did not use steadfast or blood bond. I would have listed it otherwise. I am not terribly surprised that there is more than one build doing this though, an absurd amount of copies pop up every time a video takes off.

I don't agree DR is the best way to go. Light armor and fast movement and dodge are best for me. Archon and engineer for everything except annihilation. Annihilation I use Challenger and hunter. My builds slap every boss with dps the fights are over quick.

I was not understanding exactly *how* flat DR was multiplicative with armor DR until now. But seeing a 10% barkskin taking off ~4% from the ~40 damage *remaining* after armour (and not adding ~6 on top of the 60 DR already present) it all finally clicked. Nice sheet by the way, very clean.
