One day I want to get an aquarium and have a little music player installed behind it to emit the subtle melodies of WoW's Vashj'ir music. So eerie, yet beautiful. JUST like the sea itself... Mysterious, deadly, eerie,and yet...you are drawn to its majesty and grace...

This was my favorite zone in Cata. The music is so stand alone.

Vashj'ir, where to begin? It's easily one of my favorite zones of Wow all time. I'm currently going through it for the 4th time and I'm still awestruck by the art design, it's music and that sense of mystery and dread that permeates the region. You really feel like you are intruding upon an alien realm that despite the danger draws you ever deeper into its depths.

This is probably the worst zone ever, fighting and questing under water didn't work at all. But the Music for this zone is among the most epic in Wow.

I wanted to love it so much, because of the music and the artwork blizzard put into it. But underwater stuff in WoW has always been an annoyance. And it was here, too. Sad. It's so gorgeous.

I disagree, it's an awesome zone to level in. Always pick it over Hyjal.

It's one of the few zones where you have to be aware in full 3D, and make good use of camera control. I'd say it's one of the best once you get used to it, only one of the worst if you don't bother trying to get used to it. Can't do a zone like this in Diablo3 which lacks full camera control.

I think cata's redeeming feature is the music. I love how eerie Vashj'ir is, how fancy Gilneas' music is and how awesome the Well of Eternity Sounds. Truly my favourite part about cata.

Vash'ir is one of my favorite zones in Wow (except for the Abyssal Depths region, that place is one big depressing hole). The whole underwater zone concept was awesome, I was excited when I first heard about it. And I wasn't disappointed. All the aquatic life and vegetation and the undersea ruins gave this place a wholly unique feel that not other zone has replicated. It was just so fun questing here. And Whale Sharks. Can't forget them.

People say Cataclysm was the worst Expansion out there, not fully understanding that its Lore, the new Regions, the outlook of it, the style, and even the music was phenomenal. I'm still a Wrath guy, but Cataclysm wasn't all that bad truly.

Josh Thomas Cataclysm was AWESOME. Really amazing the new areas, new races, new dungeons, new mounts.

I just wish they didn't totally wreck some of the vanilla zones in the process, but in that respect I suppose it lives up to its name.

yes, people are completly underestimating the fact that cata was the expansion with easily the most content, since it was a revival of like 80% of the vanilla content. Problem was, that the most important patch and raid (5.3) basically was a joke and a major let down. They literally screwed up one of the most hyped enemie in the Warcraft lore by some time traveling stuff, 3 new dungeons and a raid with almost completly reused assets from the previous expansion. Cata stopped being really developed after its release. There were no new system, exciting new zones, nothing.

@Wonocva15 I personally did not like Vashj'ir too much. I myself was more centerd around Hyjal cause hey, it is a site that is alore heavy. I did like this underwater kingdom however, it looks beautiful, and the music captivates you and tries to pull you further into the depths. AND THE WHALE SHARK OFC!GAWD!

The music of WoW... throw back into times long gone and even with Classic prob. not coming back, since the whole "new expansion"-hype just only happens on, well, new expansions. And tbh back then it was a new expansion. Not 100 youtubers creating content from PTR and you basically knowing everything, but instead you coming back from school or work after stopping at the local gaming multimedia store with your copy of the game and being so happy about the new loading screen. Man, times were good back then and Cata was a blast to play and twink... until Firelands...

they ruined this zone in wod, it used to be very hard to kill mobs, now it is sooo much easier, it doesnt feel the same, now I know what People from vanilla feel
