Really brilliant design and construction, kudos to the Vashon team.

Thank you for a very interesting tour of the factory! Everything about the design seems perfect for travel with IFR, auto pilot, and maintenance/ repair being well thought out!

You can definitely see Ken Kreugers influence from all the years at Vans. This would be a neat home built kit if offered.

Robert, thakns for your comment. Actually Kurt has mentioned (not in the recorded video) several times regarding Vans'ism that Vashon carries. It must be from Ken! We've asked kit question at the site, the answer was not "now" due to the cost of customer support for builders.

Subscribed! Please keep at it and grow this channel! If Vashon ever decided to introduce a 4-place with: *side sticks or yokes *remove the 2 bars obstructing forward view *offer a minimum 180-H.P power-plant w/diesel option ...we would most definitely purchase one. The Ranger's over all design/features are indeed pretty awesome!

A. Clark! Thansk for your comment and subscription of the channel!! In fact, I have definately same feeling about the Vashon and we would purchase one if all these points you made are cleared! Stay tuned, I will definately spend little more time to produce videos and VLOG! Thanks again

An informative video. I'm in the air to SEA as I type this & I'm looking forward to having Kurt give me a similar tour. I have a deposit on one and will look forward to bringing a new Vashon Ranger home to Florida this fall.

What is the wait time for a new aircraft? Would like to know if they plan to ramp up production. Seems like this is a popular plane.....good price, good avionics, well thought out. Do they have a transition training program for buyers? Are they planning any locations/distributors on the east coast? What is the typical "out the door" weight? I have heard it is a heavy LSA, so a low useful load. True? Would have liked to see Kurt talk about the sales and marketing side. Seems like a straight shooter and very informative. Great company representative. Great information on Vashon. They seem to keep a VERY low marketing profile, unfortunately. Very little youtube content so this video is great. Thanks.

As I am not working for Vashon, it isn't really an official statement but let me try from what I've learned. I think Kurt told us that current wait time is 5-6 months. They are planning to move and open a new factory facility this year at KAWO which increases their production capacity and agility as it will eliminate the haul of aircraft to final assembly which is currently done in KPAE. There must be training program for buyers. Currently they are delivering the aircraft across the country even East Coast, Kurt mentioned to us that he is flying everywhere to deliver like Florida, Calf., Ohaio etc. For their aircraft data, you should be able to find on the internet, here is the one: public.tableau.com/views/U_S_LightSportAircraftRegistrations/This-YrRanking?&%3Adisplay_count=yes&%3AshowVizHome=no I agree with you that despite they produce great aircraft, their marketing exposure isn't that high.

Cool plane but with so much pointed at back country flying you'd think they'd opted for a much beefier landing gear.

Did you hear anything about them making a 4 seater? I asked them about a higher hp option and they responded that a 4 seater with more hp was in the works
@runway33r15l3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think we heard same from them. I believe it is on their plan now.

why do they keep underpowering aircraft . 100hp isnt enough for hot high and loaded to the max ,,,, i have a 172 with the 0-300 and it sucks . why isnt there a 150 hp in this thing ,seriously

Vashon aircraft literally implying that non certificated parts can be used in their certified aircraft. Just. Wow. As a buyer, i just cant believe that an airplane built in the usa on a for profit basis will be good value. Labor costs just too expensive. This looks like a 60000-80000 airplane from romania.
