I am growing my tomatoes exactly the same way. Built a frame, placed hail netting over and around. and placed the plants in bottomless pots and tied up with the soft tape to poles above. they are looking lovely. Love the way you explain things. I have learnt so much from you. Thank you, have a great festive season.

My cherry tomatoes are just beginning to ripen now.... ate the first one yesterday and it was amazing. I use the string method with lots of leaders, but from a central stake for my cherry tomatoes. All the rest are large, determinate varieties in my garden because I prefer to use the frames for pumkins, squash, choko and zucchini. Yours seem to be coming alonmg nicely too.

Im in Melbourne and with all this warm weather and rain recently my Big Malakas are almost at the top of my string trellis which is 2m from soil to top! They were put in the ground early October.

What’s happened with the tomato you planted in straw?
I had a nightmare you visited my place and pruned back all my avocado trees. And my neighbour kicked 6 soccer balls over the fence but you kicked 1 back before I threw the rest in the bin
