Vasily’s performance of Elgar’s 2nd symphony with the RLPO, recorded at the RAH and available on YT is probably the best I’ve ever heard after Barbirolli’s incredible live recording with the BSO in 1964, also on YT. It would be great to hear this lst symphony if it was recorded?
