Hi Vasu. You may not read this but I have a question. The transition from female verse to male verse at 5:41 is one of the major reason this song went on repeat for me. I have never heard a more satisfying/smooth transition both audibly and visually. A technical reasoning for that would be great. P.S Even with all the times I listened I couldn't figure out how they played with vocal layers, synths and the flute differently in the hooks. Thanks for the explanation.

The transition doesn’t seem odd because: 1) Female vocals aren’t stopped completely when the male vocals kick in. They’re used as backings to support the male lead. 2) Sudden change in the groove: main beat suddenly drops and takes the listener’s attention away from the vocals for a moment and hence the transition sounds seamless.
