Thank you for sharing this amazing documentary. 😊 Ps. Viewers should be advised that this is a documentary based on the monastic program and heritage of Vatopedi Monastery. Other monasteries on Mount Athos also have different monastic programs and obediences. But overall, each monastery brings its own spirit to unite on Athos.

@@Buttercup697 Thanks for your comment. The Holy Mountain is Autonomous, meaning that they are self-governed. They have the right to say yes and no to whatever they wish. Their strict rules and prayers are the reason why this holy place has lasted in these times and not become a busy tourist attraction.

Thanks for the program....I was there about 15 years ago. In the morning the monks pray Matins followed by the Divine Liturgy. This is the Orthodox term. We do not use the word mass. This is aRoman Catholic term. After the services, the main meal is served s you correctly said. In the evening there is again no mass. The monks pray Vespers, have a light meal and then return for Compline which is the Night Prayers. Usually after Compline there is the opportunity to talk to the monks and have a drink. Everything you see is real. The Greece was filling with homelesses and the monks prospered and made inovations. The rate of the suicides, in Greece, skyroketed, nad the monks rejoiced. The people in Greece, lost their homes, from the banks and the monks built and built. And all you see are money and subsidies from EE and greek gov. About the fruits, now: The real cost of production is higher tahn if they were bought in the market. Dolce Vita in Greece. Easy money in Greece! Halleluya! For the love of Go(l)d.
