@31:42 _The salt itself is not useful._ Well I don't know. You can use it to turn "meat" into "corned meat" (fish too I think), but that still doesn't make that useful unless the meat expires in the game. I haven't noticed expiration of food, have you?

Not useful for me, since I don’t craft. You can salt fish and meat, so that you can eat it on the fly instead of needing a campfire. Roasted meat heals for more and one piece can heal the whole party. Meat does not expire either.

I haven’t, and so didn’t recognize them. Though, I do safely assume everything in this game is a reference to something.
