I think if instead of killing the sacrifices they just kept them in a hidden portion of the vault, never allowed to see anyone else ever again (or until they decide to stop sending people) that it would've been exceptionally interesting. Like you have the one experiment where you're watching people sacrifice each other and then you have the other side where the people who were sacrificed realized it was all a sham but have no way of telling the people above.

That the two sides would be studied to see how the "sacrifice" side developed as a society. Would they be angry? Bitter? Or would they be relieved that they no longer had to live with this fear over their heads? Imagine an episode from the new Fallout TV show being about Vault 11. I doubt it but would be nice to see.

When I first encountered this vault years ago, I had to read and listen to those logs twice. When I finally put the pieces together, it was horrifying and sad at the same time. Amazing writting of Fallout New Vegas.

Brilliant way of telling a story through game. I don't think we won't feel same dread if we had watched same story as blackmirror episode.

"Laws don't outlast their Governments" Read any law book to see how contradictory that statement is..

You mean the books that people who make money out of the law says that it itself is necessary? Yeah sounds like a circle jerk.

I love the horror esque feel of that place. It's a post-apocalyptic wasteland we need more of that. The metros in Fallout 3 gave a good creepy vibe that needs to be brought back.

Excellent video. Tragic vault. But the writing behind the vault is great

Now, it's been a while, but I was pretty sure the first overseer went to his death willingly, and the rest of the vault found out about the sacrifice from his terminal.

I think you missed the note from the vault ombudsman.

My memory has lied to me before as well. Lol. Evil vault tech employees are rarely if ever self-sacrificing.

That ending of the projected movie and the tone of the voice was so creepy "Can you see them ?... Good..." it sounded so ominous.

This was such a great experience going in blind. From the campaign posters implying the position was a punishment, to that final walk down to the room.

I counted 15 skeletons in the sacrificial chamber, although I think they went 15 years before the end of the vault eventually happened.

I love synonymous, because he gets down to it and summarises everything while keeping the important details. I used to watch Oxhorn but im glad I stopped. An entire hour of my time wasted that only took 20 minutes to talk about. Thank you Synonymous, you help me understand the fallout universe without all the long winded nonsense.

exploring your way through vault 11 and uncovering the story piece by piece is a masterclass in storytelling. beginning with the 4 bodies at the vault door and hearing the final holotape at the start, only to go through the twists and turns of uncovering the story bit by bit, then entering the chamber and seeing the dark turn of the death room presentation, blasting your way through survival, only to re-listen to the final tapes as you crawl back up towards the surface with all the newfound context of the vault's story. Haunting.

It would have been much smarter if Vault-Tec had built a secondary facility for the "sacrifices". That way they could study isolation and trust issues, seeing what kind of society grew as the sacrifices were led there. Maybe giving them the chance to monitor the Wasteland to see whether it was safe to leave would also help

God the fact that they kept doing this until a huge fight broke out years later and we're left with 5 people really shows how uneasy these experiments are, especially if only the vault overseer knew, I just wanna know why they didn't just go against it from the get go, like there had to be SOME people against the idea of a sacrifice

With how sadistic Vault-Tec is, it wouldn’t surprise me they knew this was going to happen and purposely made that voiceover super cheery and congratulatory for no other reason than to twist the knife into the remaining survivors

Seeing as sacrifices were not necessary I'm surprised the vault actually killed them, would have thought they'd just be released into the wasteland or something
@randomlyentertaining8287 Жыл бұрын
I'd like to try this experiment in real life, except instead of obviously killing the sacrifice, each sacrifice is sent to a different building where they're forced to watch the first experiment as it goes on and we can study both sides reactions. If the first experiment results in the group refusing to do a sacrifice, then both sides get to be reunited and everything is explained to them.

This is kinda random but I can't be the only one who wishes there was a mod for hoi4 or something that takes place before the great war. Maybe you could try to calm the crisis and use nuclear power for civilian and power use or go down the fallout timeline until there's total Armageddon. Idk, it won't happen but it's a cool thought.
