It is indeed anti-black if the separatism is done voluntarily, because that would imply opposition to the separatist's freedom of association to associate only with people of like racial background. This concern also holds true for anti-white bigots who oppose white separatism. Live and let live; don't force people to interact with those they would prefer to avoid.

@@user-gh1vc9kb4e In a vaccuum you might be right, however in this case that "separatist's freedom to associate" is a euphemism for forming a black ethnostate. He's disagreeing with a racist, fascist, reactionary system of governance and not someone's individual freedom.

@@pakman184 It is not immoral to have an ethnostate among people who all consent to having it. You are not entitled to interacting with a set of people who wish to keep to themselves. @pakman184
@pakman184 Жыл бұрын
@@user-gh1vc9kb4e Again, you're thinking of this in a vacuum instead of the reality we live in. An ethnostate does not just suddenly pop up out of nowhere, full of everyone who wants to live there. Ethnostates are built by tyrannical and fascishistic leaders who kill, imprison, deport, and/or genocide the people who do not "belong" within it. Black separatism is definitely a dumb position, I feel like it was useful during the time that it originated, but it’s completely misguided nowadays. And I’ve found that most people who are black separatists today are just uncritically stealing and regurgitating the viewpoints of black separatists of the past. It’s literally like getting in a time machine when speaking to them. When I was younger, I was friendly with a few people who were part of a separatist group. I would always question them about their beliefs, and eventually I asked one too many questions and they just stopped speaking to me 😂

Also there's a big difference between making private spaces that you control the membership I.E. private business or homes and only allowing x group to be allowed there vs making segregation the law in public land or territory. Plus it's impossible to actually do this without a willing population of non-black people to agree on the terms or else it's going to be war, genocide, etc. If you ask these people "how do you intend to create an ethnostate and where" they never have any answer that holds up to basic scrutiny because it's functionally impossible to do without massive logistical issues

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Destiny get this worked up by a white person being just as charitable to white people as she’s being to black people. Destiny can have full conversations with Nick Fuentes being super racist against black people and not bat an eye and in fact declare Nick Fuentes “very intelligent”… and then get super worked up by this woman defending black people. The more I watch Destiny, the more I realize he’s far more accepting of anti black sentiment than he is of anti white… and it’s a shame because for the last year I watched his content religiously.

The most he got worked up throughout this entire video was when, midway through, he went through an ENTIRELY unrelated rant about the other lady. He spent the majority of the video sarcastically memeing. Also, he's not laughing at any pro or anti black sentiment, he's laughing at the idea of someone going to debate someone and then saying "I'm not educated enough to tell you why you're wrong, but you're wrong" because that's retarded as fuck. Destiny is probably the only guy who's ever called Nick Fuentes on his bullshit face to face and you're sitting there like an idiot going "yeah it seems like he agrees with nick fuentes"

With respect to the Kurds and Kurdistan, their situation is not at all comparable with black separatism. The US is a liberal democracy which first had to fight a violent war to grant personhood to black people, but after which black people were able to advocate for themselves through peaceful means, i.e. civil rights. The Kurds are an ethnic minority from the Kurdistan region. The Kurdistan region spans where Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria's borders meet. Two of those countries aren't exactly whole countries. One of them is a Shia theocracy (meanwhile Kurds are mostly Sunni). And the last one is an ultra-nationalist autocracy which has consistently banned Kurdish political parties. We read a cringey CRT teaching guideline about teaching math with physical activity so black people can learn it better. Meanwhile in Turkey, you can't teach fractions in Kurdish. All of this is to say, Kurdish separatist efforts in Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey are vastly more justified than black separatist movements in the US.

As someone from a conquered nation that fought for independance for centuries, the Kurdistan argument is so dumb... It's downright disrespectful to compare the kurdish fight to black separatists. A nation is not a race. Sure, there's often some ethnicity related to it and different levels of exclusivness, but it's more about langage, culture, history, etc. This common misunderstanding of nationalism is so annoying for nations that don't have their independance yet. People nowadays think that nationalism is just far-right or white supremacy while it was literally the basis for the emergence of Enlighment and the advent of liberal societies at the end of the XVIIIe century (political institutions that reflect the will of a people in a precise territory instead of collections of peoples under foreign monarchies/empires).

@@TecTitan that's why "Kurdistan" is kind of a misnomer today (not to mention that there's a very clear distinction between rojava/PYD and the much more conservative KRI/KRG in Iraq, both of which are referred to as "Kurdistan" all the time, and that doesn't even touch on the historically Kurdish regions in Iran). the Kurdish project's goal in Syria isn't an independent Kurdish state, it's a multiethnic autonomous region of a federated Syria. notably for the region, rojava also does the same thing with gender: all positions of state authority (including the military) are held by two people, a man and a woman, who share equal authority - two generals, two presidents, two leaders of parliament, etc.
