Best performance at the festival for the 2nd year in a row imo. We were all robbed after we lost this fellow. Was one of the best chasers av seen !!!

I ripped up a variety of different value Gold Cup ante post betting slips with a net profit return of just over £3,500, all connections of Vautour failed to see that the horse recognized and loved running at Cheltenham for what ever reason, the course just clicked something in his head and he ran his best there, I'm not saying he would of won the Gold Cup but he probably would have gone very close. Looking at the way he cruised along I'm sure everything would have gone right for him in the Gold Cup, thats my opinion.....

Was ment to be under the weather. Ruby said if he was his he would not have went on the boat. Just shows you how good he was. Came alive at the festival. What a 🐎 🐎

Hope this still haunts Mullins and Ricci. Two pricks allowing Ruby to pressure them into running in this instead of the Gold Cup, and the horse never got another chance.

@Bog Standard If that is the case, why did Mullins, Ricci and Walsh spend between the the King George and the Festival telling everyone he definitely stayed and he was definitely going to run in the Gold Cup, only changing their minds two days before the Ryanair was run?

@@ashleymckay6895 Mullins thought he stayed the King George trip fine. Mullins said he always ran below his best at Christmas and performed better in the spring, and he loved the hill. Maybe you know more than a Champion Trainer. Ruby was a money grabber. He wanted the easy pay day in the Ryanair and a good chance in the Gold Cup on Djakadam, rather than having an average ride in the Ryanair and having someone else on Djakadam’s back in the Gold Cup. And what do you mean Ruby was right as always? What a moronic comment - he must have chose the wrong horse to ride 40 times, being beaten by second string horses at Nicholls and Mullins plenty of times. What a stupid, stupid thing to say. He was nowhere near “always right.”
