You've just decreased the power of your engine from hot airsuck. It's reccomend in the cdti that you keep the air filter box and change out the oem filter for a performance filter and also de restrict the box by pulling the plastic lip off the pipe going into the box.

You can also get a multi tool and cut all the ridges in the airbox. Theres also a restrictor in the pipe to the turbo inlet 👍

Better off with a performance panel filter in the standard but de restricted air box, works best on these engines !.

Best way if you put cone on diesel your sucking up hot air that's what happen to my 1.9tdi audi then head gasket blow up water and oil dripping underneath and coolant hub sucked in the oil
