@@darrenabbey3364 I had to use a different route for my radio it's an old Kenwood KMD-PS971R with its own remote,the remote is hooked up to the buttons in the steering wheel and the remote is hidden behind the airbag, I've wires it to do volume, track skip, source select and disc and minidisc changer disc change, my Kenwood is kitted with digital radio dab, Bluetooth, minidisc and cd changer and mp3 input, all controlled from the steering buttons. flic.kr/p/2hBEpJb

Great videos, Rust Locker - the wheel is nice. I've also put in Exclusiv front seats (haven't worked out how to put the rear bench in yet) on my Combo Tour for my leather fetish. Nice, and good for 7hr drives. Easy swap, but without the Combo seat's blocks you sit a good inch lower, which is a bit weird. I can wear a top hat while driving now. The seat leather's a bit fragile (notice how many have a seatbelt rub on the side bolster) and if I started again I would go for leather seats from a 2009 Tigra which are more durable leather.

You were right you should leave it between 10 & 20 mins after disconnecting the battery before messing with airbags. There is a capacitor that stores power for the airbag so it still functions should somone crash into you (like if you brake down). Never seen it myself but not worth the risk as it is a small explosive.

Thank you for this, same procedure for tigra

Mine works, I went to Halfords and got a Harness add on that allows controls to work 👍🏻

@PrinceRemnant213 жыл бұрын
@@nat-xs2fs it's Called a Harness, you can get a full installation kit which is about £165, or I spent about £30 for the standalone harness and had it ordered to my store for me as didn't have all types in :-)

Man, iv just swapped the gearbox, clutch, slave cylinder and subframe, wish I had found this channel earlier, you could have videoed it and put it on here....

That doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy doing on my driveway in the cold. But I would have filmed you doing it. Ha ha.

Keep the bolt in a little way, if the wheel is hard to get off you can get smacked in the face when it suddenly comes free, bolt kept on a few threads saves a nose bleed!!

If you have the stock radio unit, can you wire the cables without Any adapters? I mean does the steering wheel buttons input is the same with the horn input?
@RustLocker3 жыл бұрын
If you are good enough with electrics then I’m sure you can wire it up without an adapter. But I’m not that good.
@antbans513729 күн бұрын
Why do you always need to disconect battery

You made this look easy. I have both a Combo B and Corsa B, and wanted to swap the steering wheels between them. The Corsa wheel came off easily, but the Combo steering wheel is stuck fast. I've even tried a gear puller. Any ideas please?

I think their is a drain hole under the brake master cylinder, could be blocked. Or... their is an opening that should be sealed.... mine is covered with black silicone that I assume the previous owner has done to stop the problem.
