I have a question regarding cam sync. Those arrows on the cams must be lined always on the dots on both cams ? In which position does Cam pulley need to be to those dots to be on arrows ? Tnx

Hi I’m working on a Vauxhall insignia at the moment I need to know what is the toque spec for a chain sprocket bolt and the tensioner bolt and will I need to put some sealant on the egr cooler or not thank

I had this done at a shop a few days ago and after it was done i noticed right away that the car doesnt accelerate as before,it is a lot slower. I checked the turbo pipes and there doesnt seem to be a boost leak. Could it be that they didnt set the cams right when the new chain was installed?

Did it start up easy after disconnecting the diesel injectors or on they need bleeding? Mine is coughing but not starting 😞

I started this very job yesterday but I'm stuck at releasing the bolt underneath the EGR. It seems there's a crome pipe running infront of it! But how to free the pipe? Also I can't free the injectors. I'm using a 'DAYUAN Diesel Injector Puller M8 M12 M14 Adaptor. Is there a better tool I could use? Cheers

Should have been issued a recall on these. Same for the timing chain tensioner on the 1.6 CDTI GM engine.

My chain snapped yesterday. No noticeable warning sign; no funny noises, nothing. It’s only done 90000

Mine snapped at57000 miles was rescued by green flag went to Arnold clarks they investigated it and they told me I needed a new engine so I collected it and they charged me £833 33p put the top half of the engine in boot where I took another Blackpool garage they told me bottom half of engine was ok so was rebuilt with a new strengthened carrier the moral of the story is if you hear it rattling don't drive it anywhere get that chain changed it's cost me another £3100
