Oh how I've missed your repair videos Rob, the number of repairs to the daughters old "D" Corsa your videos help me with is unreal.

My wife Lexus had a smashed left driver-side window (we are across the pond so we drive on the left side). Safelite (nationwide window repair)replaced the broken window, but as soon as we got the car home I tore apart the door panel and using a shop vac remove all remaining broken glass. My wife was surprised by the amount of broken glass still inside the door. I explain to her that it's not their car so they just get the big broken pieces out. Great to see you back on youtube. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you.

It's nice having a mechanic in the family. And in our case, it's nice that you share what your doing so we can learn and hang out in the new shop.

Thank you Wyatt and it’s nice having friends like you hanging out.🙏🏻

fantastically helpful. bought a used regulator off Ebay for £30, some self tappers for £5 and did the job myself in a couple of hours, rather than pay the £180 i was quoted for the job..! happy days

Top Notch as usual! And you are right, no matter how hard you try, you can never get all the broken glass pieces out.

Thank you for taking the time to put this together, I really appreciate it! In the scenario where the window isn't smashed, how would you go about disconnecting the glass from the plastic lugs, is it straight forward?
@OneAuto Жыл бұрын
Yes very easy. Bend them away. They are very flexible

It's times like this I miss my '93 Mitsu Eclipse, as it's the most modern car I've had that still used actual metal screws to hold the door cards on. Seeing all those brittle plastic clips gives me the willies. :-P

Great vid..you obviously know what you re doing.. I don t so I will let the insurance deal with it seeing as they also smashed the rear tailgate glass which is a bigger job. Excess of £400 plus higher premium s ..least I can dream about pulling the finger nails out of the tw,**s who did mindless vandalism
