Thanks for the video, I have ordered a new fob and 2 microswitches. However in the meantime I managed to fix the faulty microswitch without solder. Here is how - Luckily I have 3 knackered keys, all three have missing buttons on the unlock microswitches but the lock microswitches are still functioning. On one of the functioning microswitches a small screwdriver was used to carefully pop off its retaining clamp. Underneath this, a small metal disc which is not secure so care needed not to lose it. (The disc flexes to complete the circuit on the board when pressed) I removed the disc and placed it back under the retaining clamp/button assembly on the old switch and the switch now works. The whole process took about 5 minutes.

just done the same on my Renault traffic II , as the cheapest quote for a replacement was £110...bought the new plastic case 2 switches AND new battery, one burned finger😵 later, a nice working fob under a tenner 😁

Yep this is fine for most key repairs. It only get more expensive when immo chips need programming for a total loss key. Thanks for the comment, hope your finger is ok👍
