Vauxhall Zafira B/Insignia/Astra J Automatic Gearbox Fluid Change

Vauxhall automatic gearbox fluid change procedure on a Zafira B with AISIN AF40 auto box showing P0741 fault code and in limp mode.
ATF-MV Fluid was used.

Hi mate, my zafira c auto used to judder on gear changes and this week it wont give any power at takeoff only when i foot down it starts moving gradually but wuth that it kets smoke out and it ket transmission fluid out. Whats my issue. Does it need fluid, filter n gasket change? I got a P0965 code- pressure Solenoid valve 1 system performance. Thanks with any advice.

im gonna do an atf change on a corsa d 1.4 auto but would it still be fine if i put the amount of oil drained out back in, knowing theres still some old oil left in the torque converter? my oil is very dark brown but the gears change fine

Hi thanks for watching yes that's the correct way to do it. If necessary might need to change it then drive a bit then change it again to get as much clean fluid in as possible.

Got a automatic zafira c 40k miles with judders on fear changes. Mainly 2 -> 3 but all gears once hot. Do you reckon it could be the fluid? Only had it for 2/3weeks. Doesnt seem to be slipping, just poor changes.

Hi thanks for watching, yes I would say that's the fluid and filter that needs changing plus the relearning of gearbox values afterwards. Hope that helps.

How was it after? I'm looking at doing an oil change in my astra j 2.0 but can't afford to do 2/3 cycles do you think the one would be okay? As long as its not a dodgy colour?

My auto Zafira won’t change gear it just stays in a high rev once changed from 1st if that makes sense could this be transmission fluid

2009 Vauxhall insignia Automatic 2.0, Engine temperature don't go up on the gaze, but left side of the Dashboard feels warm after driving for an hour. This car has slow oil leak under the car for a year, may be a drop perday. But car driving, shifting and reversing well. Can it be a cause of Low on Transmission fluid? Is there a easy way to find it out with Scanner Tool?

Hi thanks for watching, the heat would not be anything to do with the gearbox. That's a water pump or heater matrix fault. Could have an airlock or something like that. Or an issue with climate control system. Oil leak could be engine if its black oil. If its not black then might be another type of fluid. Kind regards, Adam

A decent scan tool would show faults if present in climate control system.

Hi thanks for watching sorry for the delay in replying. It takes around 7 litres from memory but it's best to put back in the same amount that is drained out, then check level and add if required. Yes you need to use computer after to reset learned values.
