Vaxee Outset AX Wireless Gaming Mouse Review (& Zowie EC1-CW Comparison)

Nice grip comparison with the np01s.. I hold the np01s the way the AX was putting you into a claw grip. I got a creaky copy of the np01s and the Vader rep said I could replace it with another model.. going to wait for the full size np01 reviews but I think I may go with the Outset based off your review.. much appreciated

One thing in will have to do unfortunately is sand the front edge of mouse 5.. the side buttons look like the same ones from the XE and sometimes when I over grip the mouse I press the front edge and it has a sharp rigid edge.. an opportunity to do a weight reduction of sorts I guess.

@Slambars94k Ah thats a fair approach from Vaxee. You get to try 2 shapes too which is sweet! The NP01 is on my radar too! Maybe releasing this year, I'm excited for it honestly. Let me know how you get on with the AX 👍

I'm trying to get hold of a Lamzu Thorn! I plan to do a monster "Ergo shapes comparison" video when ive managed to get hold of the thorn. I'll probably include the np-01s in there too even though its not really an ergo 😅 Also, the Xlite v2 series is a clone of the Zowie shape, so much of what I say here for the EC1-CW will be relatable to the Xlite v2 shape too

The thorn isn't similar to the vaxee. They are pretty different actually.

Gz on 1k!! You deserve it! Also the AX just replaced the hydrogen 2 as my favorite shape, best shape I’ve ever tried. I tend to gravitate towards ergo since I have big hands and played nothing but mmo’s for 4 years straight with deathadder type shapes. AX is a total win for me!

@@Log_Pile yes I do, but I think that’s due to all the mice on the market being quite short so it just kinda naturally happened while trying everything. That must of been the intention of the design of the AX. But the grip is comfortable and I feel easily repeatable since you line up the knuckles rather than fitting it into the palm, also a lot more breathable and more wiggle room for micro adjustments.

CONGRATS for the 1K sub (almost at the same time as another of my favourite reviewers (Olicheck Gaming Tech), very nice coincidence, keep up the great work, it's just the beginning) and great review as always. I really want to try EVERY ergo and asymmetrical Mice from Vaxee but they are so expensive, also idk if these mice will work properly on my wraith v2 control with his LOD issue... (also it seems that they got that issue since their v1 but didn't fixed it...). I have some mice that work at 1 or 2 mm LOD but sometimes if i change skates... it can stop working or randomly skipping pixels. I fixed my XM2we (sensor was a bit dirty that doesn't helped, how tf a spider web got there xD) and now it's my MZ1 Wireless that doesn't work properly :D (skipping pixels with brand new Tiger Ice). With your last giveaway you've reawakened my curiosity about testing mousepad (only hardpad without coating), my superglide surface feels disgusting compared to the wraith when my mice works fine on it. I will try to sell my superglide polarity for an indecent price when that limited ed will be sold out since a while (also i think i'm good to spend hundreds of euros just in hardpad in the coming years to find the perfect hard surface with a great design without LOD issue :D). Anyways, that's a really nice looking glass pad from padsmith you got here, can't wait to watch your review. Also did wraith sent you another pad ? (which you can be 100% sure it's really the control one this time ?).

Maaan Olicheck is a great creator, there's a few of us that got to 1k at the same time - it's a weird feeling because I love their content - and I just film mine in my living room lol I love the Vaxee shapes, the NP01s is sooo good, i think its really underrated actually. I'm a little surprised about the whole Wraith pad issue and the way they've handled it - I haven't received the correct pad yet, but I don't know that I'll chase them anymore cos there's only so many times you can ask! I haven't properly tested the Padsmith pad yet, I would recommend the Skypad 3.0, Atlas, or Padsmith though if you want a cheap but premium pad. My opinion on the Superglidfe, is that it just felt a bit cheap or plasticy. It's the only pad I've sold after review! Enjoy your hunt for a new pad, sorry the Wraith one was a bit of a let down in the end.

A lot of you deserve way more recognition for the great work you are doing compared to some big tech reviewer that 99% of the time present shameful products (like corsair one xD). Don't be sorry, wraith esports screwed up so many thing even the giveaway management process. It also take time to be delivered but it's also my bad, because i forgot to communicate a phone number and i was thinking like : You contacted me by email so wraith esports will have it if they want to contact me ^^' Anyways, they still managed to screwed up the customs info about the parcel status, i checked fedex policies about customs, a gift status exist to be exempt from custom duties but they didn't used it. Thank you again for the really fast refund from your own pocket, a truly an unforgettable Gigachad moment. They also didn't declared the correct size (and maybe the real value of the parcel), i mean how tf a package can be something like 35 x 35 cm while the pad without box is 45 x 45 cm xD, they want to get in trouble with carriers ? In addition to that there was no one to send the parcel during a moment (were they closed or what ? xD, in the end it took a month to get it :D). Even if it was a weird giveaway management. I'm still really grateful to you and i'm still enjoying the pad atm (when my mices work properly on it ofc). And the surprise of winning something for the first time is really an unforgettable and really pleasant feeling ngl. I'm also grateful to wraith esports even if i maybe give the impression to criticise them a lot but as a small brand when you want to do something you need to done it right. I hope they will learn from their mistake and fix their issues with a v3 glass pad. Hope you will get the correct pad one day but yeah don't waste too much of your time trying to get one. In the end of the day it's just a hard pad (with LOD issue...) along with many others. I think i will wait for another limited ed of the padsmith or the control glass pad of the whale if i can get one (and if that's really what he is teasing us about). And soon we will have some indestructible skates working on all pad (CeraSkate from TJ exclusive). Both projects seems to good to be true to be honest but... i can't stop hoping that everything they said will be true. Vaxee mices look so damn good, maybe i will buy the wired AX, NP-01 and NP-01s instead, I just need to check if their cables are good enough (because a wired mice in a bungee with a good cable on a glass pad still feel really good). I also need to do the same with Zowie EC, ZA and S series ^^' Sheesh, i wrote way too much (thanks you if you have read this far ^^')

Also have the G303SE - I have been close to buying the DAV3 Pro but resisted a few times now :D I just counted my mice, and think I have somewhere in the region of 21 on/around my desk lol may be time to start selling / giving some away!!

Hello! Great review! How do you feel about ec1 vs outset ax after longer time? I'm currently trying to find something to replace my DAv3 as I don't like the sharp edges. I also have big hands and like to slap my hand all over the mouse, so I'm a bit worried that ax will be too small

Hey Mikol! I have grown to love the AX, but it took a long time to get used to it 🤣 if you really are a big handed palm gripper, I think the EC1-CW is the better option, but the AX feels more versatile overall. EC1-CW = hand on top of mouse, mouse under hand kind of feeling. AX = hand wrapped around mouse, mouse inside of hand feeling. The EC1-CW is much bigger than the AX in terms of length, and the EC1-CW really is the perfect palm grip mouse. All that said, I probably prefer the AX to the EC1-CW these days just bwcause it's a more exciting mouse to mess around with

Ax is more comparable to the EC2. Ec1 being a full large palm grip mouse. Ax is deffo in the medium category

Id love to try the xlite v3 now but with the zowie u2 on the way I dont know what I want no more lol. I love small mice as it feels the best for me especially on a skypad. Aiming feels like writing on a glass sheet

@@Log_Pile Yeah Ive had that one before when vaxxee had no wireless yet. I had to mod the mouse with a paracord lol! It’s a good one I admit but not quite my type. I also prefer my ZA13 over my x2h mini for some reasons. Feels like zowie nailed that type of shape. But I do wish they had a wireless option. I might just go with the x2v2 mini since I loved their original x2 mini

Hey Grims2k! I am using both actually, along with some other stuff I'm reviewing too. I think when the testing all settles down it'll come down to what kind of session I want or am having. I like both shapes a lot and while I probably like the EC1-CW a hair more than the AX, it doesnt mean I will only use the EC1-CW, last night I used about 4 diff mice in a 2hour session 🤣 the AX, Xlite v2 medium, EC1-CW and the x2h 🤣 What do you use?

I use this mouse in palm with my 21 x 10.5cm hands, its definitely possible (and VERY good), the more i use this mouse the better it gets. Strong recommendation from me

@user-ve9bj2ql1l The AX and the EC1 are my favourite mice for palm grip, the main difference between the 2, are that the AX is inside your hand, and the EC is under your hand, thats kind of the best way I'd describe the difference. With your hand size, the EC2 may be a better fit compared to the ec1

you can't go wrong with a vaxee or zowie coating (Vaxee coating is better than zowie IMO). Tbh, the xlite v3 eS coating is also pretty good, almost as good as the zowie coating.

Yes I have tried the SS prime, i haven't tried a DAV3 pro, I keep ALMOST buying one, but I dont think I will. I'm not a huge fan of the SS prime but it is a very interesting shape. What is your ergo of choice?
