@Aperki2010 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it's quite that simple. My interpretation is it's about the duality of romanticising a life away from the hum drum, abstract and detached nature of modern society whilst also feeling repulsed by the people that often puts you in a camp with. 'Yeah sure, society fucking sucks, but we're hardly going to make it any better with all you idiots running around shouting things that are counterproductive, and we don't really have much of a choice kind' of vibe. Your choice is try to work it out and try to create a better world for everyone or make a pile of sticks in the woods and probably die. I think it's a recognition that it's uncomfortably easy to relate to the feelings that drive these people, even if the actual outcome and actions differ wildly. I would say Seb's hinted t this in interviews as well, where he'll criticise these people but add a comment like 'and some of my own thoughts sometimes too'. I could be wrong, but I don't think its as simple as 'point and laugh at the idiots'.

@@Aperki2010 i have been looking for this coment. if you think abbout it this song can be seen as an illustration of the cognitive dissonance happening in the brain of any sort of "return to tradition" types, were they recognize that things could be better but think the way to do that is to return to there romanticized version of a past were everything was objectively worse for everyone.

I would love to leave society but it’s things like this that keep me in :) music, the buzz of life and also not being able to afford to escape and buy a wood cabin, there is a middle ground mind 😂 mine would be a wood cabin in the middle of nowhere with the internet ;) and the ability to say hello to society when I want, I also believe we can go back in time with some things we call evolution, going back to the milkman rather than using supermarkets and the plastic that comes with it, we also had a green grocer on horse and cart that needs bringing back 😢devolution in some cases is needed ;)

Being homeless in a van not by choice (& not a f^ck-up) - it's easy to see the potential in having a choice to leverage scaling way down. But the ppl selling shtf ideas etc is so much epic stupidity. If they really knew what being stripped down without any choice was really like... The point being nobody would enjoy this or want this, there's no reason to allow things to get bad enough. Time to stand up and not take it before even more reasonable expectations of civilized life are shattered. Diversity of tactics.

When I was a kid I only ate peeled kiwis but that way of eating them was forced on me by the society (my parents) and now that I'm 34 and seen some shit and went through a whole lot, it came naturally to me to eat them whole. There's one interesting fact about humans - the signal in the brain comes first and then it gets interpreted by counciousness as a thought, not the other way around. The fact that I naturally decided from that point on to eat kiwi with the skin tells me that my brain was craving for extra vitamin C. Consciousness is an afterthought, an interpreter of firing neurons, a small spotlight of a complex chemical machine, body and mind is a single entity wether you rationalise shit or not - we're all monkeys and it's critical to be fully aware of that simple fact to try and become something at least a little bit more than that. And kiwi's skin is good for you as it contains a lot of vitamin C AND it's tasty, eating kiwi without the skin is pointless: it's slurpy and gross, you might as well eat cum. I encourage anyone reading this to eat a whole kiwi with a skin on every day before bed: if you ever wished your life to change for the better that's a good place to start.

Every decade or so, a band comes along. Goes underrated for entirely too long. Then suddenly the world catches up. Viagra Boys are one of those bands. A rare gem. Making "not giving a shit" an artform up there with Angelo, Bach, Beatles and Morrison. Presenting the youthful energy that every garage band falls in love with. Bringing that energy to the stage in such a way that makes every performance a "shouldve been there" kind of moment. Viagra Boys are definitely one of the best bands around. At a time when instruments are nearly unheard of. Showing the youngins how its done. In true form and having fun. An underground sound worthy of a main stage. Viagra Boys are making rock shows Great again.
