Andy if you like that Mazzy Star desert/ paisley underground sounding stuff check out The Naked Prey and Green on Red... great bands from that scene that never really crossed over... the Enigma Variations has a lot of bands for that scene and is a great sampler to check them out via... I have been a Handsome Family fan for a number of years and was super happy to pick up that disc.. I know you have mentioned you live in BFE.. you ever check out www.booksalefinder.com/ to see what sales are in your area? a lot of times I see CDs and Vinyl at those sales...

I was quick to pick up that Galactic Cowboys on vinyl. Alan Doss is a really cool guy and knows a lot about cassette tapes. I need to check out a lot of the others you showed.

I saw GC open for King's X in ATL back in July of '96.. that was a pretty great show... they are one of those bands I saw their CD at a shop in '92 and was drawn in by the cover and the idea of Space Western imagery... I have a clear memory of playing the disc for the first time at a friends house and not knowing what to make of it.. and even being off put by it.. but over time it grew on me.. and while I haven't listened to them all that often in the last decade or so, they do take me back to a time and place in my life... and they should have been much bigger than they were.. isn't that the story of Rock though?

Eric Peterson I'm not sure how I missed them the first time around. Someone sent me a mixtape with a couple of their songs, and I heard that Alan Doss was in the vinyl and cassette communities. At one point I sent him some tapes. Now I have a few GC CD's and one or two cassettes. Good stuff. Very unique. I need to give the record a good listen.
