Beautiful just Beautiful! Omg, the reverance Elvis is. showing simply by just listening is palpable. Elvis is moved and uplifted deep within his soul here, his facial expression says it all. He may have been the star of the show yet he always made way to let others have their time in spotlight, his love and admiration for JD and Stamps never failed, also for his band and backing singers. This performance alone shows without a doubt the humility of Elvis Presley.

One year since discovering this video and still it makes me cry. Was blessed with the privilege of interviewing JD Sumner in 1974. Booked to perform at a local charity event, he and the Stamps dropped in on my radio show. He was warm, yet brash; brutally honest, yet sweet. We lost this complex man of God in 1998. I hope to see him again in Heaven.

'Sweet, Sweet Spirit' was written by Doris Akers, chosen by The Smithsonian Institute as a "National Treasurer". Elvis loved/recorded many of her songs including 'Lead Me, Guide Me Along The Way'.. Every day was a religious experience for Elvis because he was constantly humbled by the gift God gave him and wanted to use it for His glory. He loved the Lord and wanted to talk with people about it. I think he would say anyone would have a religious experience living day to day trusting in Jesus with all their hearts. ❤ The above isn’t my opinion but accounts from Billy Stanley’s book The Faith of Elvis, and Linda Thompson’s book A Little Thing Called Life.
