VCA vs Subgroups

What's the difference?

A VCA cannot be input into a subgroup. The option you demonstrate there allows the subgroup fader to be assigned to the VCA, i.e the subgroup fader will be controlled by the VCA fader. Its not going to cascade whatever audio channels you have in your VCA into your subgroup.

If it works for the music you do, go for it. You also have the graphic equaliser, so you can fine tune it to your liking
