I’m not a christian. Never was, and never will be. Although sometimes I like to poke fun at christianity, in the end I have respect for those who believe in it, and I remind myself that this is the same religion that brought us Christmas, which I dearly love. I think that just like many other religions, while there have been some evil and ugly things that have come out of christianity, there are also many beautiful art forms that have emerged from it, and one of the greatest examples of that are christian hymns and gospels and other christian music. I absolutely love this song, especially when paired with Dolly’s voice!
