@@MarkDeSade100 no it doesn't need to take years at all lol, for some people it can even take less than a year especially if you're surrounded by native speakers 24/7 many foreign idols have done so, christina alone said she could understand 80% of what was being said to her but just couldn't speak ( mind you that was while they were still filming and she didn't even make the group) I'm pretty sure all of them ( aside from kaylee) got weekly korean lessons during their trainee days since most of their instructors only speak korean, now I'm not saying the girls are fluent but that in general it really doesn't need to take years depending on the individuals situation and motivation.
