I loved this video, your content has introduced me to some fabulous under the radar brands, thank you! I’ve just ordered a Moreau Faubourg 49 from Farfetch. Moreau isn’t selling this one anymore, and I was very lucky to find one in the black grainy leather at a really great price. It looks quite robust, I love the contrast stitching, and I can’t wait to receive it! Thank you again Anesu. 🙏

Thank you very much for showing designers not a part of the trifecta (hermes, chanel and lv). I truly appreciate your sophistication, elegance and dedication to luxury craftsmanship. Thank you for being such a great advocate for the Belgian brand, Delveaux. As a Belgiam I am of course a big fan and own about 5 bags of them and would like to have more!! The Brillant is from 1958 and still going very strong. Every season the bag gets reinvented and limited editions are made,. The Tempete from 1967 is going strong too. I always hesitated to get this modell because I am such a big fan of the Brillant. But I will give it a chance after hearing your passionate plea for it.

Being a Belgian as well, I also love the Brillant, especially the mini- size, it is so cute.I have two of them. I also have a pin daily and a coquin, which is out of production. I'm thinking of getting a Tempète now too. Thank you very much Anesu, for your positive review of Delvaux.

wow Madam, I just discovered your channel. I can only second what you said about the exceptional beauty of Celine Classic Box and the uniqueness of Delvaux (in my book this latter brand is just on a category by itself, I bought my first Delvaux like 20 years ago and it is with the same wowness that I wear it today )

I discovered Delvaux 2 years ago. Ever since I've wondered HOW it's not as popular as Hermès given its rich history and superb craftsmanship. I bought 2 vintage ones, including a tote version of the Brillant in grained leather. I know they will stand the test of time unlike brands like Chanel and LV whose quality is going downhill fast.
@SoAnesu3 жыл бұрын
You can say that Delvaux quality is on par with Hermes including Moynat. Also throw in Valextra. They are three brands that don’t care for hype or celebrity endorsements they let the quality and craftsmanship speak for themselves. Definitely worth a punt all day, everyday day over Chanel and LV.

Thank you for the wonderful video! I haven’t had the chance to check out Delvaux in person, but on the website I liked the PM in cognac that they’ve recently added - I believe that’s exactly the one you are showing in the video, so thank you very much! Happy to hear that you don’t find the buckle difficult to maneuver! I don’t mind the contrast stitching in a saddle bag for example, but for a lady-like classic bag I much prefer the smaller on-tone stitching. Same goes for the glazing on the edges. I actually love the Celine classic in box - I was close to buying it last year, but then I discovered the Moynat Loulou (satin calf) and I bought that one instead. So while I feel that place is taken in my collection, I’m still thinking about a classic box in burgundy, so who knows… With regards to the Tempete, there was something that I did not like about the flap’s shape and hardware, but I will definitely look closer into it. I like the more care-free leather of the khaki one you are showing here. This is a good example of why is so much better to be able to see the bag in person. But maybe I will have the chance to do that in the near future, when we’ll be able to travel again... Very happy to hear that Asprey will come with an in-between medium bull-skin Steamer soon. I’m not in a hurry, so waiting a few more months would give me the opportunity to test how I feel about the bag and make a better decision. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and providing such useful details!
@SoAnesu3 жыл бұрын
You are welcome! Agreed on the smaller on-tone stitching. Moynat is a fab brand it’s a cat amongst the pigeons bringing great alternatives. I look forward to talking about the brand in more detail. It will be great when we can travel again please do check out the Tompête I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Patience is everything it always pays off I’m confident you will find something wonderful.

@@SoAnesu I’m curious as to how the brand will do under the new creative director. I can see a change in approach with the new models - it looks like they are exploring “more modern” designs vs the classic line they’ve followed up until last year, so I hope it doesn’t get too trendy. But the Rejane is still listed as an iconic model (surprisingly that’s not the case for Gabrielle or Gaby). So we’ll keep an eye on Moynat! And yes, being patient is the best approach when coming to such special purchases :) Thank you for sharing your expertise!
@SoAnesu3 жыл бұрын
You are welcome. It’s my pleasure. It’s going to be interesting Nair was at Moynat for 10 years a testament to his ability and I really liked the fact that he was coming from Hermes and understood quality, design and business at the top end. Knightly’s Louis Vuitton background kind of bugged me as LV is mass focused which Moynat isn’t but maybe that’s what Moynat needs. Brand has been invigorated and now needs someone who is going to slightly elevate its visibility. Time will tell but I’m hopeful. It’s a super brand that deserves to shine.

Top quality under the radar is the way to go. Thank you much appreciated. Dellaluna Venezia and Serapian Milano are two fabulous brands - I Iove the colours and the styles. The shape of the Affresco is interesting there are a few styles with a similar look. I’m not sure when I’ll be in northern Italy again but when I am I would like to go to Venice for Dellaluna. Great video, great recommendations . In regards to your comment about hierarchy. I have to say though,for me Goyard gives Hermes a run for their money. I love goyard even more because I feel like Hermes has lost that since of exclusivity. It's so over hyped. But besides exclusivity, goyard gives great quality. I love their option for personalities (they can hand paint your initials on the bags). It also has great heritage. My personal top five are Moynat, goyard, delvaux ,faure le page and Hermes (I know shocking)🤣🤣🤣 I still like Hermes regardless I would like to see you do an in depth video about Goyard exclusively.
@SoAnesu3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes unfortunately Hermès have inadvertently become a victim of their success but still a super brand nonetheless. Moynat is in a league of its own ahead of Hermès. The brand can do no wrong in my eyes! Goyard is not an easy one to do unless they change their marketing stance and are free with information otherwise I sadly cannot add any real value without direct input from the brand.
