Yeah the internet is pretty positive Will is gay. There have been little hints, like when Mike yelled “it’s not my fault that you don’t like girls!” at him last season when he wanted to stop shopping for Max and El and go back to playing D&D… and this season in episode 1 when that girl plays footsies with him in class and he looks disgusted and kicks her away 😂. Oh! And in season 1, Joyce tells Hopper that Lonny (Will’s dad) teases him and thinks he’s gay

22:53 - he’s not delusional, it was a real thing! I loved that they showed it this season- it was called Satanic Panic. If you don’t know what that is, Google it, it’s super interesting. It was a massive wave of hysteria that began in 1980s USA- people started fearing ‘freaks’ (outcasts) and blaming them for bad things that happened, just like Eddie. These people (who were different because they didn’t go to church, listened to metal, dressed less conservatively, etc.) were blamed for murders, disappearances, sexual crimes etc. People accused them of satanic worship and alleged that they committed the crimes for ritual sacrifices. When really, in most cases, it came to light years later that they were completely innocent. Because of this, outcast teens and others were killed, innocently sent to jail, etc.- it was actually really sad

The Dungeons & Dragons characters aren't actually real in their universe. They just use D&D characters to name creatures in the upside down that best fit said character. Like a nerdy monster categorization. Since, this monster appears to be using magic and cursing everyone, they labeled this monster Vecna, a dark wizard in D&D. But Vecna isn't it's real name nor is the actual Vecna real in their world.

I'm actually surprise people didn't know Hop was alive before the season 4 trailer.. At the end of season 3, when the cameras went to Russia you clearly hear the guards saying "not the American" when one of them was going to open the prison door for the demogorgon - and hopper was the only other American that didn't escape the mall. I knew then that it was him for sure lol.. But I guess most people weren't paying too much attention to that minor detail. Either way, love yall reaction, and you are def in for a ride this season! So good!

I cracked a bully’s nose in 7th grade, so I knew exactly what Eleven was going for…at least she had restraint and only hit her once. The thing is right now Eddie technically has an alibi for Fred’s death and if he were in custody this death would’ve likely cleared him but the way they’re setting up Hellfire Club and D&D - especially with the incompetent police of Hawkins (sans Hop) they probably think another member was also doing it but that’s where my head was at the end of this episode.

As delusional as it sounds a LOT of people really DID think that D&D could lead to Satanism (also Heavy Metal music) or that kids would get so into it that they couldn't tell what was real anymore. If you can find it, there's an old TV movie about that from 1982 called "Mazes & Monsters" ( they couldn't call it "Dungeons & Dragons" 😉 ) that stars a very young Tom Hanks.

You guys are pretty young, so it didn't seem like you knew about the Satanic Panic of the 1980s? When Jason's mind went immediately towards Satanic Worship because the kids played D&D, it's the same time period that those accusations happened in real life. It was a serious problem. Anyone who played D&D, listened to heavy metal, didn't believe in God, were labeled as Satan worshippers. There was mass hysteria and paranoia, false accusations for crimes. It's worth looking into for context in the show.

Imo it woulda been way cooler if they went with everyones theories that Hops was sucked into the Upside Down and came out of a portal in Russia. Imagine him struggling to survive in the Upside Down for months, killing monsters n shit, and comes out of one Hell only to be captured and thrown in another. He’d be all grizzled and savage, covered in scars, a seasoned Upside Down survivor and veteran monster-slayer. And he uses that savagery to survive the Gulag. Kinda lame he just jumped down a level to avoid getting killed by that explosion and was found by a bunch of Soviets.

This is my interpretation about Season 4 Ep2. I think Vecna’s Curse is targeted towards individuals in Hawkins, mainly teenagers because of a trauma in their lives they haven’t been able to get over,. So far Vecna hasn’t been after any adults. My question is why is this “Creature” stalking Hawkins in the first place? Also The Duffer Brothers, creators of this show are really really pushing the envelope with the violence. 👍Hardcore, brutal. That you would see in James Wan’s INSIDIOUS, or The OUIJI, or The CONJURING UNiVERSE. But I am loving the season 4 and did anyone see a “Carrie” reference with the bullying at school and RolllaRama, & the FastTimes reference. Argyle is a good addition to the show, he’s an awesome comic relief. Argyle is not a teenager. He looks 22? And a stoner, in closing the writing is excellent. The directing is excellent. The soundtrack to each episode is always epic. Are you guys still in College? It’s fine if you’d rather not answer. Do you guys have full-time employment? It’s fine if you’d rather not answer. Sadly kids are that mean. I had a friend in middle school who had lost her mom to a car accident and for no damn reason a kid in class said to her "at least my mom isn't dead." She picked up a chair and almost slammed it over him. But she put it back down. And this was the girl known for getting into fights so idky he thought that was a good choice for him.
