You must have a dodgy remote wheel, both my pro and standard sr80 units have spring loaded return to centre operation. As I previously mentioned the non pro version is probably nearer to the claimed top speed. You are right about the lack of voltage info, I think it's only printed in the advertising blerb on the website I bought my boat from. The standard sr80 runs a much smaller diameter drive wire and has much less friction hence the higher top speed and acceleration, but a heavy battery will risk breaking the cable.

I knew you would like it, didn't know about the 5mm stub shaft . We just left them stock . I couldn't calibrate the esc on mine. Had to turn the boat on first or it wouldn't run. Quality is not the best but it's cheap and goes OK. We have a second one that does this to. The esc is probably going to burn up like mine did. The other one is good, no problems with it and we use it a lot.

When the esc lets go ill have an excuse to start upgrading haha

2 of them have bad escs , turn the radio on like normal and nothing. But turn the boat on first and then the radio it works! For the money these are great.

​@RCBoatBitz got the pictures of the cool boat sent to your email . Goes surprisingly well, used some rcbb trim tabs . Should fix it. Rcbb fixes everything. Need to stock up on parts again!

Besides the annoying flex cable the only other issues I've had are breaking battery trays in a big crash, which in turn broke the latch on the lid when the battery tried to escape. In fairness to the boat it was a big 6s pack. It makes the pond in Bonython Park feel pretty small at those speeds...

Common knowledge is 4s 6s can do but won’t last long

I have the same thing but I'm still not satisfied with the speed... hoping to mod it soon or maybe just throw a 6S in it and see how the stock electronics and motor hold! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXywd6uHdtyXmq8

A prop upgrade raised the top speed on mine by 13kph to 74, but i had to swap out the dtiveshaft as well to suit that prop
