***** Thanks for the feedback and criticism. I've sorta gotten into the habit of locking my hands into a certain position to ensure my fingers are the correct distance apart to play octaves. That's probably not the right way to go about it haha. I'll work on relaxing my hands a bit. :)

Definitely one of the better renditions I've seen of this arrangement, nice job! I like how you made it your own :-) One thing, though: your hands look extremely tense, especially when playing octaves in the right hand. Try to loosen up your fingers and wrists (I got tendinitis once by tensing up, and I wouldn't want you to get it, haha). If you want more power, try to rely more on the weight of your forearms, rather than the muscle strength in your fingers alone. Use the whole arm! But other than that, keep it up! :D

I know this comment is 8 years old but I just wanna say thanks for the advice, it’s really been making my fingers and wrists feel better when playing songs with heavy and loud chords

Hi! I've been listening to your cover for quite a long time and since then I got motivation to learn this piece...so thanks! You're probably not going to see this comment but in case you do...any advice to help me master it? I've been having trouble with how to use my foot and trying not to sound clumsy on the very first part...
@petermurphy94318 жыл бұрын
Well thanks for the kind words, Nappin. I'm not really sure I'm qualified to give instruction on this sort of thing. I'm quite happy with the progress I've made in learning piano independently, but my technique is by all accounts very poor haha. I'm not ashamed of the quality of my videos, I just know that I'm under-qualified to give advice about things like posture, finger positioning, weight distribution, etc. May I ask if you take piano lessons? If you do, then I recommend you ask your instructor about your question concerning pedaling. If you don't have an instructor, then the best advice I can really give you is to seek one out, if that's feasible. As someone who hasn't taken proper lessons, I regret it. Sorry if this response is a little disappointing haha. This really is the most honest advice I can give. Good luck! Practice lots!

Peter Murphy Hey! Wow I wasn't expecting any answer and especially not so fast! I actually seeked for your advice because I guessed you were a self-taught player (like me) so I thought you had tips. But thanks anyway! And you're right! Getting a teacher probably is the fastest and safest way. But I'm already 20, so maybe it's too late...and if it's not i'm broke anyway haha. But one day maybe! Anyway, keep playing the piano! I've been listening to this cover for months, while working on final essays or just relaxing at home. I really love the feeling you put into it. I think you're great :) And I apologize for any mistake, French is my first language.

Seems like a behavior acquired from learning piano with a keyboard. Accidentally touching a keyboard key even lightly can produce a note so I bet he learned to do this automatically.
