Thanks Joseph, for hanging in there with me. Work has just been very busy. I just don't know how some of these KZbin guys manage a video a week. SO much goes in to producing. But yes, I am fully invested in this, and glad you are continuing to enjoy CNC. Thanks for the support.

Awesome video, 3D rendering is one of the least intuitive parts of Aspire. Since you have such a finely tuned grasp on the software you should do a video on scooping chair seats. Thank you for the info!

Hi Jeff, I enjoy working with natural shaped (Found Wood) pieces of wood but have found it very difficult to create a "3D Workpiece" that reflects the true start dimensions of the workpiece of choice. This video has shown me a few tricks that will assist but I am wondering if you have a solution that can create a starting workpiece that would have varied dimensions in all different Axis. I have solved the problem in the X and Y axis but the Z axis is eluding me. Any guidance you can provide would be great. Also, I am working in VCarve Pro only at this time.

Thanks for watching John. The only two ways I am aware of Z height adjustments is to either ADD material with the sculpting tools or set the Z height in the model settings. Now, having said that, you could use the FADE feature which is similar to tilt that allows you to make the Z part of the model taller as it fades to a lower Z height. Hope some of that helped.

Very Helpful thanks.. can I ask what bits you would use to mill this in MDF, roughing and smoothing bits please?

I would use 1/4 inch end mill to rough and a minimum 1/16 ball nose to finish. Thanks for watching.
