You did these steps in Aspire, but description details Vcarve, I am in the process of buying Vcarve Desktop, will I be able to accomplish this in Vcarve Desktop?

It would really help if the video was labeled with the version. I'm looking at getting desktop and it sounds like I won't be able to do this so this video is useless for me.

Hello Eight... sorry for the onfusion. It does say in the description it is for Aspire... and to be fair this is a very old video but the process is still valid if you have Aspire. Yes VCarve Desktop does not allow you to do all of these steps, unfortunatily.

why is this labeled as vcarve when it uses aspire?

It's labelled as VCarve because it's using a VCarve toolpath. However this techniques cannot be created in VCarve only Aspire as it requires some of the modeling capabilities to achieve this effect. I hope this helps.
