The Silence that is ever present. It is there during the chant of ‘OM', before and after it, ever. All words, ideas, thoughts, feelings, doubts, emotions arise from it, subsist on it and then disappear into it. This Silence is eternal.

Had an insight to this truth once while trying to play the piano. It was a song I always wanted to play (funnily called "Where is my mind?") But after it ended the SILENCE was profound. I just stared at the keys and thought from this silence infinitely beautiful songs are possible. Once you start playing you have come into limitation of that one song but from the silence the potential of infinity is there.

Such fortunate I am to be able to hear your profound lectures Swamiji, I thank KZbin. I believe there are only a few genuine ways of liberating one's soul, Vedanta is one of them. Contrary to the 'politically correct' diktat that all religions or spiritual practices lead to liberation, only a few paths actually do; the rest will take a whole lot of time, and we just have ninety to hundred years.

Hari Om Swamiji Parnam, Mandukya upnished teaching has rightly been explained. I have been exercising this meditation since long with a little deviation from the method explained and during the process a symbol of OM has started appearing in the forehead witch can be observed . I will like to add that during the meditation I always experienced unuttered sound in the forehead accompanied with light during All process of awakened , sleep and even deep sleep and now All the time day/night. All of your lectures on Vedanta are very deep routed and enjoyable. God Power may Bless us all. Regards Parnam.
@subhashchanderkaushish20076 жыл бұрын
Hari Om Prabhu ji Parnam, Thanks for your valuable remarks. The things are always repeatedly presented because of their values. I have not added symbol of OM at the 3rd eye center. It is the result of 36years long fruitful sadhna, it is the essence of Vedanta as OM (Onkar, Pranav or Shabad Brahmn) , the real owner of the body mind and intellect has put the name plate. The Blessings of the realised saint for meditation and self help has made me the sadhak where as true Guru is only One The God Power, The real Master of all masters (Patanjali). My regards to all respectables working for and on behalf of Vedanta Organisations.

The eyes cannot see anything by themselves. The eyes are there but if attention is not there, there is no visual perception. They are only live cameras that only receive the light. The light is transformed in bioelectric current which becomes in the brain and mind an image and this image is perceived by the mind and the buddhi enables us to be conscious that we are conscious of an image. The buddhi endowed by the reflection of consciousness is aware of the thoughts Consciousness cannot experience directly forms (impressions, thoughts, imaginations, emotions). It experiences forms through the buddhi and the mind. Consciousness cannot even be conscious of itself without the buddhi. Otherwise the animals (mammals,) would be self-aware and enlightened.

@gameone65976 жыл бұрын
Once again I'd like to give an important feedback and a suggestion to VedantaNy which will greatly help all seekers like me and create more value out of these uploads. Swamiji is sharing great spiritual wealth through these lectures and I appreciate the work of VNy as a facilitator. However, the cataloguing and naming of these video sessions is very poorly done due to which we are possibly missing out a lot. The way these videos are titled, they are not easily searchable. Even if one subscribes and gets a list of all videos It's difficult to find out what sessions cover what specific topics and which videos are related to each other. There's no proper sequencing either. It's frustrating. Notice, how all videos have generic titles - "Intro to Vedanta", "essence of Vedanta", "vedanta this or that"; "quenching the firebrand"! Of course Swamiji teaches Vedanta only, so it's always that. And how should one guess what text or topics would "quenching the firebrand" cover? Why couldn't you catalogue these sessions like for example etc.? In your playlists there are just two of them, despite so many videos, and one of the playlist is called 'Spirirual talks' That's funny because, ofcourse, what other talks could there be in Ramakrishna Mission/ VedantaNY channel! Kindly take this feedback seriously. Clean-up and Organize your channel, and catalogue these videos properly. Let's not lose these gems by poor library management! You are fortunate that a teacher like Swami Sarvapriyananda is there with you and he's sharing his knowledge. Let's do a little better work of curating! It will help many seekers not just now but for a long time to come. Otherwise, soon you'll be wondering yourself that which out of the 200 videos generically named "Intro to Vedanta etc." discusses a particular text like vivekachoodamani or an Upanishad etc. Thanks
@VedantaNY6 жыл бұрын
Thank you these suggestions. This summer we are planning to make some changes to the channel that will hopefully improve the viewing experience.
