Please don't be confused between veda mantras and puranik shlokas. The piece rendered here is one pearl from the ocean of stothras. Vedamantras are different. Even the form of language changes, you have pratishakhya the grammar book. It's distinction be made by knowledge of both. Every ritual comprises of vakyas, shlokas, hymns and practical tantras ie to do with gestures.. Actually vedas hymns verses should have got publicity with meaning which solace the mind..

The power of vedic chants is immeasurable and priceless. It's a pity Indians themselves don't know as much as they should about it let alone the rest of the world. Guess every good things must come to an end. If kids at school and homes are not taught all this, it will definitely be destroyed in a generation.

People like you make me puke. Sanatan Dharma survived the attack of Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and communism. No one is capable of destroying it. Every Indian is not like you. You underestimate Hindus, Bharat and SD but what is the percentage population of people like you? Contrary to what you have said, SD will be a world religion by 2047 and India will be the Vishwa Guru once more. When I went to the US in 2001 to teach there was only one Hindu temple in Arizona, when I left there were five. Today there are seven. There are over 1450 Hindu temples across the United States, with a majority on the East Coast. There is a Hindu temple in Dubai and Ramayan and Mahabharat are being taught in Saudi Arab.
