'rolls eyes' keep it up and the music industry will find some way to act like this copied that band so we can't listen to it anymore, I mean they don't have a problem with bands copying video game songs(which I've seen them rip off the exact tones and everything on the radio, including stage songs from sonic adventure 2) yet they have a problem with video game music sounding similar...
@1shoryuken8 жыл бұрын
Mate listen to the bridge, listen to the cord progression - it's the exact same song. But It's not just this track, Kenji plagiarized a shit ton of songs in the budokai games, it's why he got fired by Toei Animation because they didn't want hundreds of potential lawsuits up their ass.
@infern209x8 жыл бұрын
1shoryuken they aren't the same at all, and besides alot of bands have similar cord progression without permission, you don't see lawsuits being brought up about them, yet for a video game it suddenly matters, and what's even more hypocritical is alot of music nowadays is ripoffs of old video game music, like I heard one on the radio recently that sounded just like a stage theme from sonic adventure 2, you don't see lawsuits coming from that though. all this is is greed. what's next, steven universe having a lawsuit filed against it for all its blatant references and similarities to anime and video games? lawsuits being filed against tributes or parodies? and they don't have the same cords, you apparently need your hearing checked, hunting high and low keeps changing its pitch during the cord progression, the cords on challengers on the other hand are just straight cords on the guitar not rapidly changing in pitch, just because the cord progression sounds the same doesn't mean they actually are the same. this is video game music, pretty sure its not made for a big speaker system to listen to like your band music, you can't find all the details on that like you can with really good stereo headphones, its made for a game therefore its made more digitally than tracks for a rock band.
@slothrop93457 жыл бұрын
Having the same chord progression you can get away with as there actually is a discernible limit to chord progressions that work and you can have enough differences between songs with the same chord progression as long as the melodies and structures are different. This, however, is inexcusable. Same chord progression, identical melody, same structure - this is literally a glorified cover.
