Hi All , I see there is a new feature for Integration of veeam with storeonce , I just wanted to check , we have 700 vm s in my enviornment and we have two data center , we have storeonce s as repository on both data centre , we want to use catalyst feature of HP store once for replication of data from primary data center to secondary , how t Do we determine the number of catalyst required ? Is it based on VM size or number of clients or d Is it like 1:1 equal to number of repositories , do we have any size constraints for jobs running on catalyst .... I see lot of documets where they have explained the concept ...but I don't see any video and document which explains calculation part . We would be using catalyst feature of HP storeonce only for replicating data .

Hi kishore nayak, Catalyst Copy specifically makes a copy of the entire contents of one Catalyst Store to another Catalyst Store. The only real concern is the chain length limitations and the limitations mentioned here: helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/backup_copy_hpe_storeonce_byb.html?ver=110 helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/deduplicating_appliance_storeonce.html?ver=110#limitations-for-hpe-storeonce Make sure that your Storeonce devices meet the minimum requirements and connection requirements, and then make sure that the target Storeonce can handle the same chain length as the source storeonce.

These videos keep talking about VM's. VM this, VM that... I don't have any VM's in my environment. I just want to make regularly scheduled backups of files on our file server, and maybe some SQL databases and logs, that's it. But so far, none of these videos have helped me understand how to do that because of all the VM stuff.

@@vijaykothekar5406 In v11, we will have Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for VMware, and you will be able to have as low as 2 second replication streaming to a remote site. Our NAS backup, after the initial sync, can be set to sync continuously as well. So if they need it file level, NAS Backup will do this. If Image Level is more convenient, we can do this at a VM level with CDP, which is scheduled for release soon!
