Today, in our village, we cook 15 varieties of vegetarian recipes for the special Tamil day of the Pongal festival. We cook South Indian Veg thali recipes by cooking the following recipes: Rice, Sambar, Rasam, Mor, Payasam, Appalam, Vadai, Sweet Pongal, Potato fry, Lady Finger masala, Brinjal Masial, Raw banana Fry, Cabbage, Thandu Keerai Masiyal, and Pickle.
The taste is savory!

Loved the way they celebrated Pongal in traditional manner (Celebration of the First Harvest of the season. Farmers and their families worship by mixing Rice and Lentil in milk, adding Palm Jaggery for sweetness, Black & Green Cardmom and Raisins for fragnance and extra flavors. Wait for the milk to boil and pour out of the mud pot.)

@PraKash-oy4bt They can offer prayers to any God you want since all are the same. But they mostly worship Sun, Rain, and Harvest for giving them nice crop. This festival is for people to be thankful for the good crop they get in the New Season of Harvest. Farmers are thankful for good crops.

But I wish they would put subtitles so I know exactly what they were saying and would know what they were doing at the beginning I know it was a ceremony of something, but I just didn't know what. Athirasam in TN is very rarely made. A superb sweet. Very few people know it properly now. My grandma's elder sister was expert. ❤. During deepavali may be some make it or in weddings surely.
