Vega x Veritree Partnership - 10 Million Tree Challenge

We are partnering with Veritree as a founder in their 10 Million Verified Tree Challenge. This is our first step towards achieving our promise of becoming Nature Positive by 2030.
With Veritree’s support, Vega is planting 500,000 mangrove trees by the end of 2022 to restore one of the world’s most critical mangrove ecosystems in Madagascar. Globally 67% of all mangroves have been lost or are degraded and are highly threatened, with one in six species critically endangered.
Unlike other tree planting projects, Veritree measures and verifies reforestation from the ground-up using blockchain technology, meaning they plant and verify actual trees.
