Just before the key-hammering, and the butt-sitting, I think Freddie crept a little reminiscence of Warsaw Concerto - written for the 1941 film Dangerous Moonlight - in on the keyboard there!

I love this version. Yes, the video quality of Montreal is better but the energy of Milton Keynes is better because the crowd isn’t as restricted as they were in Montreal. And, as we all know Freddie feeds off the audience and Freddie sings this with so much passion. Not just Freddie, but all of them. You can tell Freddie is having so much fun.

Wild to compare Milton Keynes performance with Montreal on this song. This version is infused by the energy of the crowd and thrusts it onto another plane. Montreal has masterful vocals, visually neater and better quality film (a present wrapped in a gorgeous bow) but this one has a mad driven passion. PLAY THE GAME at Milton benefits from that vibe too! Hard not to lose your heart to Freddie when his is laid out bare on the keyboard.

This was the first ever concert at The Milton Keynes Bowl on June 5th 1982 and what a band to have. True in what you say Doe in that is how you do it as a band to perform live & Queen were the masters of it. So many legendary performances with Freddie at the helm. I love this version of Somebody To Love as the improvised intro at the beginning is phenomenal & most singers can only dream of singing like that. I suggest watching the whole concert as you'll love it.

Once you 'Get' Queen...They become part of your soul and mental wallpaper. Queen have been the soundtrack for my life since 1975, I being privileged to see them in concert several times…sending me on a trajectory I could never have imagined. Without Queen's influence, I most likely would never have demanded excellence of myself.....and my life has been all the better for it. Watching young people of this ‘now’ generation react to Queen gives me great joy.., young listeners like you showing your interest and appreciation will keep the legacy of this inimitable colossus of a band alive for generations to come. Dear Freddie showed us inside his heart...and we will love him forever for it.
