Since animal Ag lobby is so strong in western countries. It just maybe that change comes from other countries who do not have the funding to keep those industries going even if they are failing. Which they are here in US but tax payers money is used to fund them

Not eating animal meat has nothing to do with having a religion, it is a matter of compassion and awareness, anyone from any religion can have this awareness and stop eating animal meat., use their skins, exploit them in works , chain them and do not accept any type of animal abuse.

exactly. besides that, decent/respected religions(which is philosophy) have ethics/morality(which is basically logic and strategy for behaviours) as keys aspects or components. example: non-violator. if we don't respect ethics or morality which are keys to religions, then we don't align with those religions(philosophies) that have ethics/morality at core. it's like saying that you want to be a chemist/alchemist without knowing elements/isotopes and their effects or phenomenas. or coders without codes. mathematicians without logic is "mathematicians" ..or worse. similarly religion without ethics/morality(logic behaviours) is "religion" ..or worse.

I ask in restaurants for the vegan option. Some still done but will accommodate me - it plants a seed

I’m a Christian who is so disillusioned with the lack of compassion for animals in our religion.

Most Christians love animals, I am a christian and I do not eat animal meat or use anything of animal origin, I have always been protective of animals and do not accept mistreatment of animals , the majority christians are like this . I am an animal activist, loving and protecting animals is a duty of all human beings regardless of religion.

@@dgrazie6640 most Christians eat animals my dear. They are not vegan. And their customs are very bloody. Come to the Mediterranean countries or go to Europe. Unfortunately they believe that the Creation has been made to serve humanity and animals are their food and their tools. I don't know which Christians you know but the kind I know they slaughter every Eastern thousands of lambs as a tradition. A river of blood. Not to mention other times of the year...

I agree with you. I've stopped going to church and won't go back until I find a vegan church . There is a great book called "Why Every Christian Should be Vegan "

Me too, Christians shouldn't eat animals😢 no one should eat animals! We're supposed to love not kill🙏🥺❤️🐔🐷🐮🐝🐇🐶🐒🐗🐋🐖🦇🐑🐑🐟
