Not too sure about the compatibility - theoretically it shouldn't since it contains features used in Vegas Pro 11. Try it and get back to me. :)

Not every template has to be as complex as Elements Intro / Promo / Trailer. Sometimes simple does the trick. Really depends what you're looking for. For a < 10 sec intro, you shouldn't expect 20 files... :)

Aquul, for your next tutorial, can you please do one on how to, say if you have a video, and then you cut out the video and all you left is the audio, can you please show us how to render that into like an mp3 file, maybe im just a noob and i don't know how to do that yet, it would be great if you could do that. :)

You'll want to open them up in the Event Pan/Crop window of Sony Vegas, right click the box, and choose Match Output Aspect. From there change the position / rotation to your likings. :)

do you mean if you use this intro in your videos to make money? well, every video that has this intro in it, you have give Aquul credit, or that would mean that you copyrited it and that would result in ban, or deletion of your channel, so make sure you give him credit, just give him credit in like the description of the video or in an annotation, hope this helped you!

I don't see why you should be restricted to using a specific program in professional work. Whatever works best with the editor, and gets the job done most efficiently is the program you'll want to use. Premiere, After Effects, Sony Vegas, Final Cut, etc. They all have their positives and negatives. :D

Make sure you've extracted all of the files into one folder, and then try opening it. If the error continues, just choose to select the files from the folder manually.
